Tonight, my topic is about the importance of promoting vegetarianism, and the Jyun Kung Vegetarian Restaurant inside the City of Ten Thousand Buddhas.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n\n\n<p>\u9996\u5148\uff0c\u5148\u8ddf\u5927\u5bb6\u5206\u4eab\u4e00\u7bc7\u4e0a\u4eba\u95e1\u91cb\u5403\u7d20\u8207\u5403\u8477\u4e4b\u5206\u5225\uff1a<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>First, I would like to share a talk by the Venerable Master regarding the difference between vegetarianism and meat-eating.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u4e0a\u4eba\u95e1\u91cb\u5403\u7d20\u8207\u5403\u8477\u4e4b\u5206\u5225\uff1a<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u73fe\u5728\u4eba\u985e\u6bba\u696d\u7030\u6f2b\uff0c\u6545\u4e16\u754c\u4e0a\u51fa\u73fe\u7121\u4ee5\u6578\u8a08\u7684\u5929\u707d\u4eba\u798d\uff0c\u5947\u96e3\u96dc\u75c7\uff0c\u91ab\u85e5\u7f54\u6cbb\u4e4b\u602a\u75c5\u3002\u6b64\u56e0\u79d1\u5b78\u767c\u5c55\u504f\u5dee\uff0c\u5c0e\u81f4\u7a7a\u6c23\u3001\u6cb3\u6d77\u3001\u9678\u5730\u7686\u6709\u6bd2\u7d20\uff1b\u98db\u79bd\u8d70\u7378\uff0c\u4e43\u81f3\u4e00\u5207\u7684\u6a39\u6728\u74dc\u679c\uff0c\u4e5f\u67d3\u4e0a\u6bd2\u7d20\uff0c\u4eba\u4e0d\u77e5\u9053\u5f88\u591a\u52d5\u7269\u9ad4\u88cf\u5df2\u542b\u6709\u6bd2\u7d20\uff0c\u4ecd\u5403\u8089\uff0c\u8089\u88cf\u7684\u6bd2\u7d20\u4fbf\u79fb\u5230\u4eba\u7684\u8eab\u9ad4\u4e0a\u3002\u4eba\u9ad4\u672c\u5177\u4e4b\u6bd2\u7d20\uff0c\u8207\u5916\u4f86\u7684\u6bd2\u7d20\u885d\u649e\uff0c\u7522\u751f\u7a2e\u7a2e\u5316\u5b78\u8b8a\u5316\uff0c\u5c0e\u81f4\u764c\u75c7\u53ca\u5176\u4ed6\u602a\u75c5\u3002\u53e4\u4eba\u8aaa\u5f97\u5f88\u597d\uff1a\u300c\u5343\u767e\u5e74\u4f86\u7897\u88cf\u7fb9\uff0c\u51a4\u6df1\u4f3c\u6d77\u6068\u96e3\u5e73\uff0c\u6b32\u77e5\u4e16\u4e0a\u5200\u5175\u52ab\uff0c\u8a66\u807d\u5c60\u9580\u591c\u534a\u8072\u3002\u300d\u53c8\u6709\u5048\u4e91\uff1a\u300c\u8089\u5b57\u88cf\u908a\u5169\u500b\u4eba\uff0c\u88cf\u908a\u7f69\u8457\u5916\u908a\u4eba\u3002\u773e\u751f\u9084\u5403\u773e\u751f\u8089\uff0c\u4ed4\u7d30\u601d\u91cf\u4eba\u5403\u4eba\u3002\u300d\u773e\u751f\u4e92\u76f8\u6bba\u622e\uff0c\u4e92\u76f8\u98df\u5649\uff0c\u4fbf\u9020\u6210\u8840\u50b5\uff0c\u5200\u5175\u707d\u52ab\u6c38\u7121\u6b62\u671f\u3002\u6545\u66f0\uff1a\u300c\u4e16\u4eba\u6b32\u7121\u5200\u5175\u52ab\uff0c\u9808\u81ea\u773e\u751f\u4e0d\u98df\u8089\u3002\u300d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Master explained the difference between vegetarianism and meat-eating:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Nowadays, humankind&#8217;s killing karma is pervasive, so there are countless natural and man-made disasters, strange and complicated diseases, and strange diseases that cannot be cured by medicine. Due to the deviation and divergence of scientific development, the air, rivers, seas, and land are all filled with toxins. Birds and animals, and even all trees, melons, and fruits are also infected with toxins. People do not know that many animals already contain toxins, but they still eat meat. The toxins are transferred to the human body. Toxins inherent in the human body coalesce with external toxins, causing various chemical changes, leading to cancer and other strange diseases. The ancients said it very well: &#8220;For thousands of years, the enmity and injustice has been as deep as the sea. If you want to know the tribulations in the world, just listen to the sound of slaughterhouses in the middle of the night.&#8221; There is another verse: &#8220;There are two people in the word meat, the outside person covers the inside person. Living beings also eat the flesh of living beings; consider carefully it is just people eating people.&#8221; Living beings kill each other and eat each other, resulting in the debt of blood, and the disasters of wars will never end. Therefore, it is said: &#8220;If people in the world want to be free from the calamity of wars, they must avoid eating meat.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u4e0a\u4eba\u8b1b\u9019\u4e00\u6bb5\u958b\u793a\u7684\u6642\u5019\uff0c\u662f\u5728\u52a0\u62ff\u5927\u7684\u6eab\u54e5\u83ef\uff0c\u4e8e1989\u5e744\u670815\u65e5\u3002\u96d6\u7136\u8ddd\u4eca\u5df2\u670933\u5e74\u4e86\uff0c\u4f46\u662f\u6211\u5011\u770b\u4e00\u770b\u7576\u4eca\u4e16\u754c\u4e0a\u7684\u6bba\u696d\uff0c\u4e26\u6ca1\u6709\u6539\u5584\uff0c\u53cd\u800c\u707d\u5bb3\u6bd4\u8f03\u4ee5\u524d\u66f4\u56b4\u91cd\uff01<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This talk was given in Vancouver, Canada, on April 15. 1989. It was&nbsp; 33 years ago.&nbsp; let&#8217;s look at our world today, the disasters are increasing. Human&#8217;s killing Karma didn&#8217;t improve for the better.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u541b\u5eb7\u7684\u6210\u7acb\u8207\u767c\u5c55\uff1a<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;\u541b\u5eb7&#8221;&nbsp;\u7684\u540d\u5b57\uff0c\u662f\u4e0a\u4eba\u53d6\u7684\u3002\u5168\u540d\u662f\uff02\u541b\u5eb7\u771f\u7d20\u9f4b\u3002\u201c&nbsp;&nbsp;\u4e0a\u4eba\u9084\u70ba&nbsp;\u541b\u5eb7&nbsp;\u5beb\u4e86&nbsp;\u4e00\u9996\u5048&nbsp;\u8aa6&nbsp;\u3002&nbsp;&nbsp;\u5048&nbsp;\u8aa6&nbsp;\u662f\u9019\u6a23\u7684 :\u300c&nbsp;\u541b&nbsp;\u5fc3&nbsp;\u4ec1\u6148\uff0c\u79aa&nbsp;\u60a6&nbsp;\u70ba\u98df\u3002&nbsp;\u5eb7&nbsp;\u6cf0&nbsp;\u5e73\u5b89&nbsp;\uff0c&nbsp;\u6cd5\u559c&nbsp;\u5145\u6eff\u3002&nbsp;\u300d&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The establishment and development of Jyun Kung Vegetarian Restaurant:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Jyun Kung&#8217;s name was given by the Master. The full name is Jyun Kung True Vegetarian.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Master also wrote a verse for Jyun Kung. The verse goes like this!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;&#8220;With a benevolent&nbsp;heart, may you take Dhyana Bliss for food.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Staying safe and healthy, may you be full with the joy of Dharma.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u4e0a\u4eba\u57281990\u5e74\u7684\u6642\u5019\u53bb\u53f0\u7063\uff0c\u4ed6\u89aa\u53e3\u4ea4\u4ee3\u4ed6\u7684\u4e00\u4f4d\u7688\u4f9d\u5f1f\u5b50\uff0c\u8981\u5979\u4f86\u842c\u4f5b\u8056\u57ce\u505a\u7d20\u98df\uff0c\u958b\u7d20\u98df\u9928\u3002\u5f8c\u4f86\uff0c\u6c92\u6709\u591a\u4e45\u56e0\u7de3\u6210\u719f\u4e86\uff0c\u5979\u8fad\u53bb\u5de5\u4f5c\u4f86\u5230\u7f8e\u570b\u3002\u541b\u5eb7\u4e5f\u5c31\u57281991\u5e747\u6708\u958b\u696d\u3002\u7576\u6642\u5979\u5df2\u7d9347\u6b72\u4e86\u3002\u57fa\u65bc\u4f7f\u547d\u611f\uff0c\u5979\u4e00\u523b\u4e5f\u4e0d\u6562\u5fd8\u8a18\u4e0a\u4eba\u5c0d\u5979\u7684\u4ea4\u4ee3\uff0c\u8981\u628a\u541b\u5eb7\u7576\u505a\u662f\u81ea\u5df1\u7684\u4f86\u505a\uff0c\u8981\u5e73\u50f9\u3001\u8981\u4eba\u4eba\u90fd\u5403\u5f97\u8d77\u3001\u8cfa\u5c11\u5c11\u7684\u3002 \u5979\u4e5f\u5c0d\u81ea\u5df1\u8aaa\uff0c\u4eba\u5011\u90fd\u8a8d\u70ba\u5403\u7d20\u4e0d\u5920\u71df\u990a\u3002\u4f46\u662f\uff0c\u5979\u6c7a\u5fc3\u4e00\u5b9a\u8981\u628a\u7d20\u98df\u505a\u5f97\u597d\u5403\u53c8\u71df\u990a\u4f86\u5e6b\u52a9\u4eba\u5011\u4f86\u5403\u7d20\u3002<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In 1990, the Master went to Taiwan. He told one of his disciples to come to the US to open a vegetarian restaurant. Soon after, the causes and conditions mature. This disciple quit her job, and moved to the US.&nbsp; Jyun Kung opened in July, 1991. At that time, she was already 47 years old.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Based on a sense of mission. She dare not forget the Master&#8217;s instructions for a moment to do<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Jyun Kung&nbsp; as her own. To have a fair price, everyone can afford it and earn a little..<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She also said to herself that most people think being a vegetarian wouldn&#8217;t be healthy &amp; nutritious enough. Therefore, she made up her mind to make healthy and tasty vegetarian food to help people to be vegetarian.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u5118\u7ba1\u842c\u4e8b\u8d77\u982d\u96e3\uff0c\u525b\u958b\u59cb\u505a\u7684\u6642\u5019\uff0c\u53ea\u6709\u5e7e\u9053\u83dc\u3002\u5916\u9762\u7684\u4eba\uff0c\u9644\u8fd1\u7684\u9130\u5c45\u66f4\u662f\u4e0d\u6562\u4f86\u5403\uff01<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u751a\u81f3\u8b20\u50b3\u9019\u88e1\u9762\u5403\u6b7b\u8c93\uff0c\u6b7b\u72d7\uff0c\u800c\u4e14\u807d\u5230\u5b54\u96c1\u7684\u53eb\u8072\uff0c\u4ee5\u70ba\u662f\u9019\u88e1\u5728\u6253\u5c0f\u5b69\uff01\u5c31\u7b97\u6c92\u6709\u4eba\u4f86\uff0c\u6216\u53ea\u6709\u4e00\u500b\u4eba\u4f86\uff0c\u541b\u5eb7\u4e5f\u8981\u7167\u5e38\u958b\uff01<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Although, things were difficult at the beginning.<\/strong>&nbsp;There were only a few dishes on the menu. People living outside and nearby neighbors did not dare to come to eat. Some people thought people inside were eating dead cats and dogs! When they heard the sound of a peacock&#8217;s cry, they would think the kid got beaten. Even if no one came, or only one customer, Jyun Kung would still remain open.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u5805\u6301\u8207\u4fe1\u5ff5\u7684\u91cd\u8981\uff1a<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u6162\u6162\u5730\uff0c\u541b\u5eb7\u7684\u540d\u8072\u8207\u53e3\u7891\uff0c\u5c31\u50cf\u4e00\u50b3\u5341\uff0c \u5341\u50b3\u767e\u90a3\u6a23\u5b50\u50b3\u4e86\u51fa\u53bb\u4e86\uff01\u6709\u4e00\u5929\uff0c\u6709\u4e00\u4f4d\u7267\u5e2b\u4f86\u5403\u98ef\uff0c\u4ed6\u5403\u7684\u89ba\u5f97\u5f88\u597d\u5403\uff0c\u5c31\u8aaa\u8981\u5e36\u4ed6\u7684\u5bb6\u4eba\u4e5f\u4f86\u5403\u3002\u5f8c\u4f86\uff0c\u541b\u5eb7\u7684\u5e38\u5ba2\u4e5f\u591a\u4e86\u3002\u751a\u81f3\u65bc\uff0c\u6709\u7684\u5e38\u5ba2\u719f\u4e86\uff0c\u9084\u6c92\u6709\u9032\u9580\uff0c\u541b\u5eb7\u7684\u5de5\u4f5c\u4eba\u54e1\u5c31\u958b\u59cb\u70ba\u5ba2\u4eba\u6e96\u5099\u914d\u83dc\u4e86\uff01<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u6709\u6642\u5019\uff0c\u6709\u7684\u5ba2\u4eba\u4e5f\u6703\u5efa\u8b70\u67d0\u9053\u83dc\u5f88\u597d\u5403\uff0c\u4f46\u662f\u8981\u662f\u518d\u52a0\u4e00\u9ede\u4ec0\u9ebc\u6771\u897f\u7684\u8a71\uff0c\u6703\u66f4\u597d\u5403\u3002\u5de5\u4f5c\u4eba\u54e1\u5c31\u63a1\u7d0d\u5ba2\u4eba\u7684\u5efa\u8b70\u800c\u6539\u9032\uff0c\u7d50\u679c\uff0c\u90a3\u9053\u83dc\uff0c\u5c31\u771f\u7684\u66f4\u597d\u5403\uff01<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Determination, patience, and faith made things better!<\/strong>&nbsp;Slowly,&nbsp; Jyun Kung &#8216;s good reputation started to spread. One pass to ten, ten to a hundred. One day, there was a priest who came to eat in the restaurant. He felt the food was very good, so he said he would bring his family to come to eat. As time went on, there were more return customers. Sometimes, the Jyun Kung workers got to know some customers so well that they didn&#8217;t need to wait for the customers to sit down and started to prepare the dishes for them already! Once, a customer gave a suggestion for a dish after he ate. He said that such such a dish tastes good, but if you add something to it, it will make the dish better! So, the worker took the customer&#8217;s suggestion and made that dish tastier!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u5fc3\u5ff5\u7684\u91cd\u8981<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u5982\u679c\u98df\u7269\u662f\u4ee5\u95dc\u611b\u7684\u5fc3\u53bb\u6e96\u5099\uff0c\u6216\u662f\u4ee5\u99ac\u864e\u7684\u5fc3\u614b\u4f86\u6e96\u5099\uff0c\u5403\u7684\u4eba\u90fd\u53ef\u4ee5\u611f\u53d7\u7684\u5230 \u7684 \uff01<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u9084\u6709\u4e00\u6b21\uff0c\u6709\u4e00\u500b\u5ba2\u4eba\u8aaa\uff0c\u5403\u4e86\u541b\u5eb7\u7684\u5305\u5b50\uff0c\u89ba\u5f97\u505a\u7684\u4eba\u5f88\u6709\u611b\u5fc3\u3002\u53c8\u807d\u8aaa\u4e86\u4e00\u500b\u6545\u4e8b\uff0c\u6709\u4e00\u500b\u4eba\u53bb\u4e00\u5bb6\u9910\u5ef3\u5403\u98ef\uff0c\u90a3\u500b\u4eba\u5c31\u554f\u670d\u52d9\u4eba\u54e1\uff0c\u4eca\u5929\u4f60\u5011\u7684\u5eda\u5e2b\u662f\u4e0d\u662f\u5728\u5435\u67b6\uff01\u7d50\u679c\u662f &#8220;\u662f\u7684\uff01&#8221;\u9019\u5c31\u8aaa\u660e\uff0c\u6211\u5011\u7684\u5584\u5fc3\u5ff5\u3001\u60e1\u5fc3\u5ff5\u3001\u9ad8\u8208\u7684\u3001\u6216\u662f\u4e0d\u9ad8\u8208\u7684\u5fc3\u5ff5\uff0c\u662f\u53ef\u4ee5\u501f\u8457\u98df\u7269\u4f86\u50b3\u9054\u7684\uff01<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The importance of the mind!&nbsp;<\/strong>If a food was carefully prepared or carelessly prepared, the people who eat it can feel it! There was a customer who said that when he ate a J K&#8217;s steamed bun, he could actually feel the caring of the person who made the bun! Another story I heard was someone eating in a restaurant in Italy, he asked if the chef had fought? The answer was &#8220;Yes!&#8221; These two stories proved that our minds can send out &#8220;energy&#8221; through food.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u5982\u4eca\u9019\u4e00\u4f4d\u5728\u541b\u5eb7\u6700\u5143\u59cb\u7684\u958b\u62d3\u8005\uff0c\u5df2\u7d93\u6210\u70ba\u50e7\u5718\u7684\u4e00\u4efd\u5b50\u3002\u5979\u5f9e1991\u5e74\u541b\u5eb7\u958b\u696d\u505a\u52302003\u5e74\uff0c\u56e0\u70ba\u9ad4\u529b\u4e0d\u652f\uff0c\u8eab\u9ad4\u75bc\u75db\uff0c\u7121\u6cd5\u518d\u70ba\u541b\u5eb7\u4ed8\u51fa\u800c\u9000\u51fa\u3002\u5728\u5979\u5de5\u4f5c\u671f\u9593\uff0c\u541b\u5eb7\u5f9e\u958b\u59cb7-8\u9053\u83dc\uff0c\u7814\u767c\u523040\u5e7e\u9053\u83dc\u3002\u9084\u6709\u51b7\u51cd\u98df\u54c1\uff0c\u90fd\u5e6b\u52a9\u4e86\u4e5f\u65b9\u4fbf\u4e86\u8a31\u591a\u4eba\u6709\u6e05\u6de8\u53c8\u7f8e\u5473\u7684\u7d20\u98df\u53ef\u4ee5\u5403\u3002\u9084\u6709\u4e00\u4f4d\u6bcd\u89aa\u5728\u4e0d\u4e45\u524d\u544a\u8a34\u6211\u8aaa\uff0c\u5979\u7684\u4e09\u500b\u5c0f\u5b69\u5b50\u7684\u5c0f\u6642\u5019\u7684\u65e9\u9910\uff0c\u90fd\u662f\u9760\u5403\u541b\u5eb7\u7684\u5305\u5b50\u9577\u5927\u7684\u3002<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Today, this Jyun Kung&#8217;s pioneer has already become a Sangha member of the DRBA. She worked tirelessly from 1991 till 2003. She had to quit her job due to her body&#8217;s extreme aches and pain, and lack of physical strength.
