This is Heng Yang, and today it&#8217;s my turn to tie Dharma affinities with everyone. I started learning Buddhism when I was 10 years old, and at that time, I participated in a layperson\u2019s Buddhist society, Proper Faith Society. This society specifically honored and respected Guanyin Bodhisattva. I was part of that society for eleven years until I was 21 years old, and then I followed the Venerable Master and left home under him.<\/p>\n\n\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n\n\n<p><strong>\u90a3\u500b\u9053\u5834\u7684\u540d\u5b57\u53eb\u4f5b\u6559\u6b63\u4fe1\u6703\uff0c\u525b\u84cb\u597d\u7684\u6642\u5019\uff0c\u4e0a\u4eba<\/strong><strong>1978<\/strong><strong>\u5e74\u5c31\u53bb\u99ac\u4f86\u897f\u4e9e\u5404\u5730\u5f18\u6cd5\u7684\u6642\u5019\uff0c\u5c31\u6709\u53bb\u5230\u9ebb\u5761\u4f5b\u6559\u6b63\u4fe1\u6703\uff0c\u4ed6\u5c31\u53bb\u90a3\u88e1\u4e86\u3002<\/strong><strong> <\/strong><strong>\u4e0a\u4eba<\/strong><strong>1978<\/strong><strong>\u5e74\u53bb\u7684\u6642\u5019\uff0c\u5c31\u66fe\u7d93\u5728\u90a3\u500b\u4f5b\u6559\u6703\u88e1\u9762\u6551\u4e86\u4e00\u500b\u4e2d\u964d\u982d\u7684\u4eba\uff0c\u90a3\u500b\u5973\u5b69\u5b50\u88ab\u4eba\u5bb6\u4e0b\u6bd2\u4e86\uff0c\u6240\u4ee5\u5979\u7684\u75c5\u4e0d\u597d\uff0c\u7136\u5f8c\u5c31\u4f86\u6c42\u4e0a\u4eba\u6551\u5979\u3002\u4e0a\u4eba\u5728\u9ebb\u5761\u4f5b\u6559\u6b63\u4fe1\u6703\u5c31\u62ff\u4ed6\u7684\u67fa\u6756\u6572\u4e86\u5979\u7684\u982d\u4e09\u4e0b\uff0c\u9019\u500b\u4eba\u5c31\u5728\u90a3\u500b\u5c0f\u5c0f\u7684\u6e9d\u6e20\uff0c\u662f\u5728\u90a3\u500b\u5edf\u88e1\u9762\u6709\u4e00\u500b\u5c0f\u6e9d\u6e20\uff0c\u7136\u5f8c\u5979\u5c31\u5410\u4e86\u5f88\u591a\u87f2\u51fa\u4f86\uff0c\u5c31\u91ab\u597d\u4e86\u9019\u500b\u5973\u5b69\u5b50\u3002<\/strong><strong> <\/strong><strong>\u90a3\u662f<\/strong><strong>1978<\/strong><strong>\u5e74\u5e95\u5e2b\u7236\u53bb\u9ebb\u5761\u5f18\u6cd5\uff0c\u6211\u9084\u6c92\u53bb\u3002\u56db\u3001\u4e94\u500b\u6708\u5f8c\u6211\u624d\u53bb\u90a3\u500b\u9053\u5834\uff0c<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When the Venerable Master went to Malaysia in 1978 with a Dharma delegation, he went to Proper Faith Society at Mabo. There he saved a girl who was hexed and unwell. The Venerable Master took his walking stick and hit her three times on the head. She vomited a lot of worms into a small ditch at the temple, and then she was cured.&nbsp; At the end of 1978, I had not been at the Proper Faith Society yet. I went there four or five months later.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>\u6211\u53bb\u662f\u56e0\u70ba\u90a3\u908a\u525b\u597d\u7b2c\u4e00\u6b21\u4e3b\u8fa6\u885b\u585e\u7bc0\u7684\u904a\u884c\uff0c\u885b\u585e\u7bc0\u5c31\u662f\u4e09\u671f\u540c\u4e00\u6176\uff0c\u5c31\u6709\u7d93\u904e\u6211\u7684\u5bb6\u9109\uff0c\u4ed6\u5011\u7684\u968a\u4f0d\u7d93\u904e\u6211\u7684\u5bb6\u9109\uff0c\u6211\u662f\u5c0f\u5b69\u5b50\uff0c\u6211\u5f88\u597d\u73a9\uff0c\u6211\u5011\u5c31\u770b\u71b1\u9b27\uff0c\u4ed6\u5011\u5c31\u6709\u4e00\u7d44\u4eba\u662f\u62ff\u8457\u881f\u71ed\u7684\uff0c\u7136\u5f8c\u6211\u5c31\u8ddf\u8457\u968a\u4f0d\u8d70\uff0c\u6211\u975e\u5e38\u7684\u9ad8\u8208\uff0c\u7b2c\u4e8c\u5929\u6211\u7684\u540c\u4f34\u5011\u5c31\u544a\u8a34\u6211\u8aaa\uff0c\u9019\u500b\u968a\u4f0d\u662f\u4f86\u81ea\u9644\u8fd1\u7684\u4e00\u9593\u4f5b\u5802\uff0c\u4ed6\u5011\u5728\u7576\u5929\uff0c\u5c31\u662f\u524d\u4e00\u5929\uff0c\u4ed6\u5011\u767d\u5929\u5df2\u7d93\u6709\u53bb\u90a3\u500b\u4f5b\u5802\u89c0\u5bdf\u4e86\uff0c\u4ed6\u8aaa\u90a3\u908a\u6709\u5c0f\u5b69\u5b50\u6703\u5ff5\u7d93\u7684\uff0c\u6211\u5011\u8981\u4e0d\u8981\u53bb\u5b78\u4f5b\uff0c\u5c31\u9019\u6a23\u554f\u6211\uff0c\u7136\u5f8c\u6211\u8aaa\u597d\u554a\uff0c\u6211\u5011\u5c31\u53bb\u56c9\uff0c\u5c0f\u5b69\u5b50\u4e5f\u6703\u5ff5\u7d93\uff0c\u6211\u4e5f\u9858\u610f\u53bb\uff0c\u7136\u5f8c\u6211\u5011\u9084\u8a18\u5f97\u5f88\u6e05\u695a\uff0c\u90a3\u6642\u5019\u6211\u5011\u5c31\u4e00\u8d77\u5546\u91cf\u8aaa\uff0c\u4ee5\u5f8c\u6211\u5011\u4e0d\u53ef\u4ee5\u7f75\u7c97\u8a71\u4e86\uff0c\u8981\u53bb\u5b78\u4f5b\u4e86\uff0c\u6240\u4ee5\u6211\u5011\u5c31\u4e00\u7d44\u4e03\u516b\u500b\u5c0f\u5b69\u5c31\u8d70\u8def\uff0c\u8d70\u597d\u9060\u5594\uff0c\u8d70\u6697\u6697\u7684\u4e00\u500b\u5730\u65b9\uff0c\u8d70\u5230\u4f5b\u5802\u53bb\uff0c\u5c31\u7d66\u4eba\u5bb6\u62c9\u53bb\u6a13\u4e0a\u4e0a\u4f5b\u5b78\u73ed\uff0c<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>\u6211\u5011\u90a3\u500b\u4f5b\u5b78\u73ed\u6709\u56db\u7d44\uff0c\u6709\u555f\u8499\u3001\u521d\u7d1a\u3001\u4e2d\u7d1a\u3001\u9ad8\u7d1a\uff0c\u90a3\u6211\u662f\u5c0f\u670b\u53cb\u561b\uff0c\u6211\u88ab\u62c9\u53bb\u555f\u8499\u7d1a\uff0c\u4e0a\u7684\u662f\u4e3b\u8981\u5167\u5bb9\u662f\u91cb\u8fe6\u725f\u5c3c\u4f5b\u7684\u4e00\u751f\uff0c\u4ed6\u7684\u6545\u4e8b\u3002\u5c0f\u670b\u53cb\u559c\u6b61\u807d\u6545\u4e8b\u561b\uff0c\u800c\u4e14\u4ed6\u7684\u8ab2\u672c\u6211\u4e5f\u770b\u5f97\u61c2\uff0c\u6240\u4ee5\u6211\u633a\u559c\u6b61\u9019\u500b\u5167\u5bb9\uff0c\u7136\u5f8c\u6709\u4eba\u53c8\u544a\u8a34\u6211\u8aaa\uff0c\u4eca\u5929\u662f\u79ae\u62dc\u4e09\uff0c\u79ae\u62dc\u56db\u5462\uff0c\u6bcf\u500b\u79ae\u62dc\u56db\u9084\u6709\u82f1\u6587\u7d44\u7684\uff0c\u82f1\u6587\u7d44\u7684\u5462\uff0c\u5c31\u4e5f\u4e0d\u932f\u7684\uff0c\u4e5f\u53ef\u4ee5\u4f86\u5b78\uff0c\u5f8c\u4f86\u6211\u4e5f\u53bb\u53c3\u52a0\u82f1\u6587\u7d44\uff0c\u82f1\u6587\u7d44\u7684\u662f\u5357\u50b3\u4f5b\u6cd5\uff0c\u4ed6\u662f\u6559\u90a3\u500b\u5df4\u5229\u6587\u7684\u5531\u8aa6\uff0c\u5c31\u662f<\/strong><strong><em>Namo Tassa Bhagavato Arahato Samma Sambuddhassa,<\/em><\/strong><strong> <\/strong><strong>\uff08\u79ae\u656c\u4e16\u5c0a\u3001\u963f\u7f85\u6f22\u3001\u6b63\u7b49\u6b63\u89ba\u7684\u4f5b\u9640\uff09\u5c31\u662f\u9019\u4e00\u985e\u7684\uff0c<\/strong><strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>\u5c31\u4e09\u7688\u4e94\u6212\u5566\uff0c\u9084\u6709\u6559\u6211\u5011\u82f1\u6587\u7684\u5531\u8aa6\uff0c\u9084\u6709\u6253\u5750\u4e4b\u985e\u3002<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I went because they were hosting the Vesak parade there for the first time. The Vesak Festival commemorates the birth, enlightenment, and the ultimate passing of the Buddha. The Vesak parade happened to pass through my hometown. I went there with my team. I was a kid and I enjoyed it. We watched the festival. There was a group of people holding candles. I followed the team.<ins> <\/ins>The next day, my friends told me that the group came from a nearby Buddhist temple. They said that at that society, there were children who could recite sutras, and they asked me if we wanted to learn Buddhism. I said, \u201cYes, I would like to go.\u201d We were a group of seven or eight children, and we walked a long way to get to Proper Faith Society. When we arrived at the Buddhist temple, we were told to go upstairs and take the Buddhist class. There were four levels in the Buddhist class. When we got there, the Dharma Masters or the teachers there sent us upstairs where we had Buddhist classes. For the Mahayana section or classes, there were four different levels from elementary all the way to [the] advanced [level]. And in the elementary level, because I was new to Buddhism, they told us different Buddhist stories such as Shakyamuni Buddha&#8217;s life story, which I really enjoyed a lot, so that was on Wednesdays. On Thursday, there was an English group, and in the English group, people studied the Theravada sutras, so they taught us how to chant a lot of Pali chanting, such as<del>:<\/del> <em>Namo Tassa Bhagavato Arahato Sama Sambuddhassa<\/em>. We also learned different things such as the three refuges, the five precepts, and how to meditate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>\u90a3\u5927\u4e58\u7684\u5462\uff0c\u6211\u5011\u662f\u5b78\u5927\u4e58\u7684\u555f\u8499\uff0c\u4e2d\u7d1a\uff0c\u9ad8\u7d1a\uff0c\u521d\u7d1a\uff0c\u90a3\u500b\u5462\uff0c\u6bcf\u5e74\u5e74\u5e95\uff0c\u4e0d\u662f\u5e74\u5e95\uff0c\u99ac\u4f86\u897f\u4e9e\u7684\u570b\u6176\u65e5\uff0c\u6211\u5011\u5c31\u6703\u8209\u884c\u5168\u570b\u6027\u7684\u4f5b\u6559\u4f5b\u5b78\u8003\u8a66\uff0c\u6709\u5206\u555f\u8499\uff0c\u521d\u7d1a\uff0c\u4e2d\u7d1a\uff0c\u9ad8\u7d1a\uff0c\u7136\u5f8c\u6211\u5c31\u6bcf\u5e74\u90fd\u6709\u5831\u8003\uff0c\u4f46\u662f\u6211\u5011\u9019\u500b\u4f5b\u5b78\u73ed\u771f\u7684\u5f88\u597d\u7684\uff0c\u5b83\u662f\u6709\u8ab2\u672c\u7684\uff0c\u6709<\/strong><strong>Syllabus<\/strong><strong>\uff08\u8ab2\u7a0b\uff09<\/strong><strong>, <\/strong><strong>\u6240\u4ee5\u5728<\/strong><strong>13<\/strong><strong>\u6b72\u4e4b\u524d\uff0c\u6211\u5c31\u628a\u6240\u6709\u7684\u4f5b\u6559\u540d\u76f8\u90fd\u80cc\u4e86\uff0c\u8b6c\u5982\u8aaa\u516d\u5ea6\uff0c\u5e03\u65bd\u3001\u6301\u6212\u3001\u5fcd\u8fb1\u3001\u7cbe\u9032\u3001\u79aa\u5b9a\u3001\u822c\u82e5\uff0c\u516d\u5ea6\u61c9\u8a72\u5ea6\u4ec0\u9ebc\u6bdb\u75c5\u554a\uff0c\u6211\u90fd\u80cc\u8d77\u4f86\u4e86\u3002\u516d\u5ea6\u7b2c\u4e00\u500b\u5e03\u65bd\u5ea6\u8981\u5ea6\u6173\u541d\uff0c\u6301\u6212\u5ea6\u662f\u8981\u5ea6\u6bc0\u72af\uff0c\u5fcd\u8fb1\u5ea6\u662f\u8981\u5ea6\u778b\u605a\uff0c\u7cbe\u9032\u662f\u5ea6\u61c8\u6020\uff0c\u79aa\u5b9a\u662f\u5ea6\u6563\u4e82\uff0c\u822c\u82e5\u5c31\u662f\u5ea6\u611a\u7661\u561b\uff0c\u6240\u4ee5\u9084\u6709\u9019\u500b\u56db\u5ff5\u8655\u554a\uff0c\u5341\u516d\u89c0\u554a\uff0c\u56db\u5ff5\u8655\u6bcf\u4e00\u8655\u6709\u89c0\u8eab\u4e0d\u6de8\uff0c\u89c0\u53d7\u662f\u82e6\uff0c\u89c0\u5fc3\u7121\u5e38\uff0c\u89c0\u6cd5\u7121\u6211\u3002\u6bcf\u500b\u8eab\u53d7\u5fc3\u6cd5\u53c8\u53ef\u4ee5\u5206\uff0c\u8b6c\u5982\u8aaa\u89c0\u8eab\u4e0d\u6de8\uff0c\u4e5f\u662f\u89c0\u8eab\u662f\u82e6\uff0c\u4e5f\u662f\u89c0\u8eab\u7121\u5e38\uff0c\u89c0\u8eab\u7121\u6211\uff0c\u89c0\u5fc3\u4ea6\u5fa9\u5982\u662f\uff0c\u7e3d\u5171\u6709\u5341\u516d\u500b\uff0c\u53cd\u6b63\u9019\u4e9b\u6211\u90a3\u6642\u5019\u5728\u90a3\u500b\u4f5b\u6559\u6703\u88e1\u9762\uff0c\u6211\u5c31\u5b78\u5230\u4e86\u3002<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At the end of every year, on the National Day of Malaysia, we held a national Buddhist exam. I took the exam every year. The Buddhist class was really good. There were textbooks and syllabi. Before I was 13 years old, I had memorized all the Buddhist concepts. For example, the Six Paramitas: generosity, vinaya, patience, diligence, meditative samadhi, and wisdom. What kinds of afflictions should the six perfections eradicate? Generosity eradicates stinginess, the vinaya eradicates transgression, patience eradicates anger, diligence eradicates laziness, meditative samadhi eradicates distraction, and wisdom eradicates ignorance. There are the Four Mindfulnesses and the Sixteen Contemplations. The Four Mindfulnesses are: contemplating of the body as impure, contemplation of feelings as suffering, contemplation of the mind as impermanent, and contemplation of phenomena as selfless. Each of [the] body, feelings, mind, and phenomena can be further divided. For example, contemplation of the body as impure is also contemplation of the body as suffering, contemplation of the body as impermanent, and contemplation of the body as selfless. The same applies to [the] mind. In total, there are sixteen contemplations. Anyway, I learned all this when I was in that Buddhist society.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>\u5b78\u4e86\u5e7e\u5e74\u4e4b\u5f8c\uff0c<\/strong><strong>1983<\/strong><strong>\u5e74\uff0c\u4e09\u6b65\u4e00\u62dc\u5be6\u6cd5\u5e2b\uff0c\u5c31\u7387\u9818\u5e7e\u4f4d\u7537\u773e\u6cd5\u5e2b\uff0c\u4e5f\u4f86\u5230\u6211\u5011\u7684\u4f5b\u6559\u6703\u3002\u4ed6\u5011\u4f86\u4f5b\u6559\u6703\u4f86\u5169\u5929\uff0c\u6211\u90a3\u6642\u5019\u5c31\u53bb\u4f4f\u5edf\uff0c\u6211\u4e5f\u4f4f\u5728\u90a3\u500b\u4f5b\u5802\u3002\u53ef\u662f\u6cd5\u5e2b\u5011\u662f\u4f4f\u6a13\u4e0a\uff0c\u6211\u5011\u5c31\u4f4f\u5728\u8fa6\u516c\u5ba4\u88e1\u9762\uff0c\u5728\u8fa6\u516c\u5ba4\u7684\u90a3\u500b\u7a97\u53ef\u4ee5\u770b\u5230\u5927\u6bbf\u7684\uff0c\u7136\u5f8c\u6211\u5c31\u60f3\u8981\u53c3\u52a0\u4ed6\u5011\u7684\u65e9\u8ab2\uff0c\u53ef\u662f\u6211\u8a18\u5f97\u90a3\u4e00\u5929\u6211\u5c31\u7761\u904e\u982d\u4e86\uff0c\u4eba\u5bb6\u5df2\u7d93\u958b\u59cb\u65e9\u8ab2\u4e86\uff0c\u6211\u770b\u5230\u4ed6\u5011\u5728\u5927\u6bbf\u5ff5\u7d93\uff0c\u6211\u5c31\u932f\u904e\u4e86\uff0c<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After studying for a few years, in 1983, the \u201cThree Steps, One Bow\u201d Master, Dharma Master Sure led a group of bhikshus to our Buddhist society. They came for two days. At that time, I was also staying in the Buddhist hall. The monks were staying upstairs, while I was staying in the office. From the window of the office, I could see the main Buddha Hall. The people from the delegation conducted the ceremonies there. I really wanted to participate in [the] Morning Ceremony, but I overslept. When I saw them reciting sutras in the Buddha Hall, I realized I had already missed the Morning Ceremony.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>\u4f46\u662f\u90a3\u4e00\u6b21\u4ed6\u5011\u4e00\u4f86\u7684\u6642\u5019\uff0c\u5c31\u6709\u7d66\u6211\u5011\u514d\u8cbb\u770b\u6cd5\u7e3d\u7684\u66f8\u7c4d\uff0c\u56e0\u70ba\u6211\u5011\u5728\u7576\u6642\u4e0d\u5bb9\u6613\u62ff\u5230\u4e0a\u4eba\u7684\u66f8\uff0c\u53ef\u662f\u4ed6\u4e00\u4f86\u4ed6\u5e36\u4e86\u5f88\u591a\u5e2b\u7236\u7684\u66f8\uff0c\u6709\u300a\u5730\u85cf\u7d93\u6dfa\u91cb\u300b\u3001\u3008\u666e\u9580\u54c1\u3009\u3001\u300a\u963f\u5f4c\u9640\u7d93\u300b\uff0c\u9084\u6709\u66f4\u91cd\u8981\u7684\u5c31\u662f\u6709\u300a\u4fee\u884c\u8005\u7684\u6d88\u606f\u300b\uff0c\u9084\u6709\u300a\u7cbe\u9032\u8005\u7684\u65e5\u8a18\u300b\uff0c\u9019\u56db\u672c\u66f8\uff0c\u6211\u5c31\u7576\u5bf6\u9019\u6a23\u5b50\uff0c\u597d\u50cf\u5728\u770b\u5c0f\u8aaa\u9019\u6a23\u5728\u8ffd\uff0c\u770b\u770b\u770b\u5230\u6211\u5c31\u767c\u83e9\u63d0\u5fc3\u4e86\u3002\u672c\u4f86\u6211\u8b80\u4f5b\u5b78\u53ea\u662f\u73a9\u73a9\u7f77\u4e86\uff0c\u4e0d\u662f\u8a8d\u771f\u8981\u4fee\u884c\u7684\uff0c\u53ef\u662f\u770b\u5230\u300a\u7cbe\u9032\u8005\u7684\u65e5\u8a18\u300b\u8ddf\u300a\u4fee\u884c\u8005\u7684\u6d88\u606f\u300b\uff0c\u6211\u5c31\u771f\u7684\u8aaa\uff0c\u6211\u4e00\u5b9a\u8981\u6210\u70ba\u9019\u672c\u66f8\u88e1\u9762\u7684\u51fa\u5bb6\u4eba\uff0c\u6211\u8981\u8ddf\u4ed6\u4e00\u6a23\uff0c\u6211\u8981\u6210\u70ba\u50cf\u4ed6\u9019\u6a23\u5b50\u7684\u4fee\u884c\u4eba\uff0c\u6211\u90a3\u6642\u5019\u5c31\u767c\u5fc3\u3002\u6240\u4ee5\u6211\u4e00\u767c\u5fc3\u4e4b\u5f8c\uff0c\u6211\u5c31\u5f88\u8a8d\u771f\u5b78\u4f5b\u807d\u6cd5\uff0c\u6211\u7684\u8001\u5e2b\u4ed6\u5c31\u767c\u73fe\u5230\u6211\u4e0d\u4e00\u6a23\uff0c\u4ed6\u8aaa\u6211\u8b8a\u4e86\u3002\u90a3\u6211\u771f\u7684\u662f\u8b8a\u4e86\uff0c\u56e0\u70ba\u6211\u771f\u7684\u89ba\u5f97\u6211\u5f88\u559c\u6b61\u9019\u6a23\u7684\u751f\u6d3b\uff0c\u6211\u5c31\u8981\u505a\u9019\u6a23\u5b50\u7684\u4fee\u884c\u4eba\uff0c\u6240\u4ee5\u5be6\u6cd5\u5e2b\u53ef\u4ee5\u7b97\u662f\u4ee4\u6211\u767c\u83e9\u63d0\u5fc3\u7684\u4e00\u4f4d\u4e09\u6b65\u4e00\u62dc\u6cd5\u5e2b\uff0c<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When they came, they brought a lot of books from our Dharma Realm Buddhist Association such as the \u201cUniversal Door Chapter,\u201d the<em> Earth Store Sutra<\/em>, <em>News from True Cultivators<\/em>, and <em>Journals on a Bowing Pilgrimage<\/em>. When I received these books, I really treasured and read them. I was so immersed in reading them; and it was from reading <em>News from True Cultivators <\/em>and<em> Journals on a Bowing Pilgrimage<\/em> that I gave rise to the resolve for Bodhi.&nbsp; Before when I studied Buddhism, I actually only studied it for fun, but after reading <em>News from True Cultivators <\/em>and<em> Journals on a Bowing Pilgrimage<\/em>, I really wanted to study and learn from them because I liked their livelihood, and I wanted to be like these cultivators. So, from that time on, I started to be more vigorous in my study of Buddhism and listening to Dharma. Even my teachers saw my progress in studying the Dharma, so you could say that it was Dharma Master Sure who really helped me give rise to the Bodhi mind.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>\u6211\u53ef\u4ee5\u8b1b\u4e00\u9ede\u5c31\u662f\u8aaa\uff0c<\/strong><strong> <\/strong><strong>\u8b6c\u5982\u6211\u5011\u4e0a\u4eba\uff0c\u4ed6\u4ee5\u524d\u5728\u65e9\u671f\u7684\u6642\u5019\uff0c<\/strong><strong> <\/strong><strong>\u4ed6\u51fa\u53bb\u5f18\u6cd5\uff0c<\/strong><strong> <\/strong><strong>\u4e00\u6b21\u5c31\u5e36\u5f88\u591a\u5f1f\u5b50\u5728\u5bb6\u3001\u51fa\u5bb6\uff0c<\/strong><strong> <\/strong><strong>\u7136\u5f8c\u5c31\u5f71\u97ff\u5f88\u591a\u4eba\u4f86\u7688\u4f9d\u4e0a\u4eba\uff0c<\/strong><strong> <\/strong><strong>\u6216\u8005\u53d7\u4e94\u6212\u4e43\u81f3\u65bc\u51fa\u5bb6<\/strong><strong> <\/strong><strong>\u3002\u4e0a\u4eba\u4ed6\u53bb\u99ac\u4f86\u897f\u4e9e\u7684\u6642\u5019<\/strong><strong> <\/strong><strong>\uff0c\u4e5f\u662f\u628a\u6211\u5011\u90fd\u62c9\u56de\u4f86<\/strong><strong> <\/strong><strong>\u3002\u56e0\u70ba\u6211\u5728\u90a3\u500b\u9ebb\u5761\u6de8\u696d\u5bfa\u6253\u904e\u5169\u6b21\u4f5b\u4e03\uff0c\u5c31\u9047\u5230\u4e86\u5f8c\u4f86\u7684\u6052\u79aa\u5e2b\uff0c<\/strong><strong> <\/strong><strong>\u9084\u6709\u52a0\u62ff\u5927\u6052\u4ef2\u5e2b\u3001\u6052\u9cf4\u5e2b\uff0c\u5c31\u662f\u53cd\u6b63\u9019\u4e9b\u5f8c\u4f86\u51fa\u5bb6\u7684<\/strong><strong> <\/strong><strong>\uff0c\u6211\u5011\u4ee5\u524d\u90fd\u4e0d\u8a8d\u8b58<\/strong><strong> <\/strong><strong>\uff0c\u53ef\u662f\u5c31\u5728\u6de8\u696d\u5bfa\u6253\u4f5b\u4e03\uff0c<\/strong><strong> <\/strong><strong>\u6211\u5011\u5c31\u4e00\u8d77\u6253\u4f5b\u4e03<\/strong><strong> <\/strong><strong>\u3002\u4f46\u662f\u6211\u771f\u7684\u7576\u6642\u4e0d\u8a8d\u8b58\u4ed6\u5011<\/strong><strong> <\/strong><strong>\uff0c\u53ef\u662f\u5f8c\u4f86\u51fa\u4e86\u5bb6\u4e86\uff0c<\/strong><strong> <\/strong><strong>\u624d\u77e5\u9053\u6211\u5011\u4ee5\u524d\u90fd\u4e00\u8d77\uff0c<\/strong><strong> <\/strong><strong>\u5728\u90a3\u908a\u5e2b\u7236\u53bb\u904e\u7684\u9053\u5834\uff0c<\/strong><strong> <\/strong><strong>\u5728\u90a3\u500b\u5730\u65b9\u6253\u904e\u7cbe\u9032\u4f5b\u4e03\u3002\u6240\u4ee5\u53cd\u6b63\u4e0a\u4eba\u5c31\u662f\u5230\u8655\u53bb\u5f18\u6cd5\uff0c<\/strong><strong> <\/strong><strong>\u628a\u6211\u5011\u62c9\u56de\u4f86\u7e7c\u7e8c\u4fee\u884c<\/strong><strong> <\/strong><strong>\u3002<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Master, in the early days, went out to promote the Dharma, and at one time he brought many monastic and lay disciples, and they in turn influenced many people to take refuge in the Master, take the Five Precepts and even join the monastic order. When the Master went to Malaysia, he also brought us all back. Because I practiced Buddhism at Pure Karma Temple, I also met people who later became nuns: Dharma Master Heng Chan, Dharma Master Heng Jung and Dharma Master Heng Ming. I really didn\u2019t know them at the time, but after we became monastics, we found out that we had all been together in the Pure Karma temple where the Master had visited, and there we had practiced the vigorous Buddha recitation session. The Master just went everywhere to spread the Dharma and brought people back to continue our practice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>\u6642\u9593\u5dee\u4e0d\u591a\u4e86\uff0c\u95dc\u65bc\u83e9\u85a9\u7684\u611f\u61c9\u6c92\u6709\u6a5f\u6703\u8b1b\u4e86\uff01\u8001\u5e2b\u66fe\u8aaa\u6211\u5011\u8ddf\u89c0\u97f3\u83e9\u85a9\u5f88\u6709\u7de3<\/strong><strong> <\/strong><strong>\uff0c\u6211\u5c31\u653e\u5728\u5fc3<\/strong><strong> <\/strong><strong>\uff0c\u53ea\u662f\u7576\u6642\u6211\u4e0d\u89ba\u5f97<\/strong><strong> <\/strong><strong>\u3002\u7b49\u5230\u6211\u5f8c\u4f86\u4e00\u9580\u6df1\u5165\u4fee\u6de8\u571f\u6cd5\u9580\u7684\u6642\u5019\uff0c<\/strong><strong> <\/strong><strong>\u5728<\/strong><strong>1998<\/strong><strong>\u5e74<\/strong><strong> <\/strong><strong>\u5dee\u4e0d\u591a\u90a3\u6642\u5019<\/strong><strong> <\/strong><strong>\uff0c\u6211\u5f88\u7cbe\u9032\u5728\u4fee\u6de8\u571f\u6cd5\u9580\uff0c<\/strong><strong> <\/strong><strong>\u5728\u6df1\u5165\u6de8\u571f\u6cd5\u9580\uff0c<\/strong><strong> <\/strong><strong>\u6bcf\u5929\u7528\u56db\u500b\u5c0f\u6642\u8b80<\/strong><strong> <\/strong><strong>\u300a\u5f4c\u9640\u8981\u89e3\u300b\u8ddf\u300a\u6de8\u571f\u8056\u8ce2\u9304\u300b\u3002<\/strong><strong> <\/strong><strong>\u6709\u4e00\u5929\u56e0\u70ba\u6211\u5ff5\u4f5b\u7684\u6642\u5019\uff0c<\/strong><strong> <\/strong><strong>\u6211\u4e0d\u5165\u5fc3\uff0c<\/strong><strong> <\/strong><strong>\u665a\u4e0a\u534a\u591c\u7761\u89ba<\/strong><strong> <\/strong><strong>\uff0c\u65e9\u4e0a\u9192\u4f86\u7684\u6642\u5019\uff0c<\/strong><strong> <\/strong><strong>\u7337\u6cd5\u5e2b\u8ddf\u6211\u8b1b\uff1a\u300c<\/strong><strong> <\/strong><strong>\u4f60\u6628\u5929\u665a\u4e0a\u5531\u6b4c\u3002\u300d<\/strong><strong> <\/strong><strong>\u6211\u8aaa\uff1a\u300c\u6211\u5531\u4ec0\u9ebc\u6b4c\uff1f\u300d<\/strong><strong> <\/strong><strong>\u300c\u4f60\u5531\u963f\u91cc\u5c71\u7684\u59d1\u5a18\u7f8e\u5982\u4ed9\uff0c\u4f60\u5531\u9019\u500b\u3002\u300d<\/strong><strong> <\/strong><strong>\u6211\u5687\u5f97\u8981\u6b7b<\/strong><strong> <\/strong><strong>\uff0c\u6211\u8aaa\u70ba\u4ec0\u9ebc\u4e0d\u662f\u5ff5\u963f\u5f4c\u9640\u4f5b\uff1f\u6211\u662f\u5531\u6b4c\u7684<\/strong><strong> <\/strong><strong>\uff0c\u6211\u6015\u5f97\u8981\u547d<\/strong><strong> <\/strong><strong>\u3002\u6211\u8aaa\u4e00\u5927\u65e9\u8981\u505a\u65e9\u8ab2\uff0c<\/strong><strong> <\/strong><strong>\u4f60\u8ddf\u6211\u8b1b\uff0c<\/strong><strong> <\/strong><strong>\u6211\u6628\u665a\u5728\u8aaa\u5922\u8a71\u5531\u6b4c\uff0c<\/strong><strong> <\/strong><strong>\u6211\u597d\u96e3\u904e\u3002<\/strong><strong> <\/strong><strong>\u6211\u51fa\u5bb6\u516b\u5e74<\/strong><strong> <\/strong><strong>\uff0c\u90fd\u6c92\u6709\u5531\u904e\u6d41\u884c\u6b4c\u66f2\uff0c<\/strong><strong> <\/strong><strong>\u600e\u9ebc\u6211\u6703\u53c3\u52a0\u4e00\u6b21\uff0c\u5728\u83ef\u56b4\u7cbe\u820d\u90a3\u6642\u5019\u4ed6\u5011\u6709\u656c\u8001\u7bc0\uff0c<\/strong><strong> <\/strong><strong>\u8001\u4eba\u5bb6<\/strong><strong>70<\/strong><strong>\u6b72\u7684\uff0c<\/strong><strong> <\/strong><strong>\u5c31\u5f88\u958b\u5fc3\uff0c<\/strong><strong> <\/strong><strong>\u5531\u9019\u7a2e\u6b4c<\/strong><strong> <\/strong><strong>\u3002\u6211\u5c0f\u6642\u5019\u807d\u904e\u7684<\/strong><strong> <\/strong><strong>\uff0c\u6240\u4ee5\u6211\u5c31\u4e00\u807d\uff0c<\/strong><strong> <\/strong><strong>\u6211\u4e0d\u559c\u6b61\u3002<\/strong><strong> <\/strong><strong>\u53ef\u662f\u7576\u4f60\u8d77\u4e86\u5f88\u8a0e\u53ad\u3001<\/strong><strong> <\/strong><strong>\u5f88\u53cd\u611f\u7684\u5fc3\uff0c<\/strong><strong> <\/strong><strong>\u90a3\u500b\u7a2e\u5b50\u7a2e\u4e0b\u53bb\u7279\u5225\u7684\u91cd\uff0c<\/strong><strong> <\/strong><strong>\u6240\u4ee5\u5b83\u91cd\u904e\u6211\u6bcf\u5929<\/strong><strong> <\/strong><strong>\u300c\u963f\u5f4c\u9640\u4f5b\u3001<\/strong><strong> <\/strong><strong>\u963f\u5f4c\u9640\u4f5b\u300d\uff0c\u9084\u66f4\u91cd<\/strong><strong> <\/strong><strong>\uff0c\u6240\u4ee5\u6211\u624d\u6703\u5f88\u5feb\u7a2e\u5b50\u73fe\u5f62\uff0c<\/strong><strong> <\/strong><strong>\u534a\u591c\u5c31\u5531\u6b4c\u4e86<\/strong><strong> <\/strong><strong>\uff0c\u4f5c\u4e0d\u5f97\u4e3b\u3002<\/strong><strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>My teacher once said that we are closely related to Guanyin Bodhisattva. I took that to heart, but I didn\u2019t feel it at the time. When I later started to practice diligently the Pure Land Dharma in depth in 1998, I spent four hours a day reading &#8220;Essentials of Amitabha&#8221; and &#8220;Records of the Pure Land Sages&#8221;. One day when I was reciting the Buddha&#8217;s name, I went to bed in the middle of the night. When I woke up in the morning, Dharma Master You told me, \u201cYou sang last night.\u201d I said, \u201cWhat song did I sing?\u201d \u201cYou sang, \u2018The girl from the mountain is as beautiful as a fairy\u2019 . . .\u201d I was scared to death, and I said, \u201cWhy did I not recite Amitabha?\u201d I was sad. I have been a nun for eight years and have never sung a popular song. Why, after I have recited \u201cAmitabha\u201d for nearly a year, did I sing a song instead of reciting the Buddha\u2019s name? It must have been that I heard&nbsp; 70-year-old elderly people sing this song during the recent Honoring Elders Day at Avatamsaka Vihara. I heard this song as a child, I disliked it and perhaps my dislike was so strong that it planted a deep seed in my mind, so deep that its impression was stronger than the &#8220;Amitabha, Amitabha&#8221; I recited every day. So the seeds manifested quickly, and I ended up singing in the middle of the night, unable to control myself.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>\u6240\u4ee5\u6211\u77e5\u9053\u9019\u6a23<\/strong><strong> <\/strong><strong>\uff0c\u6211\u5f88\u96e3\u904e\uff0c<\/strong><strong> <\/strong><strong>\u70ba\u4ec0\u9ebc\u6211\u5ff5\u4e86\u5c07\u8fd1\u4e00\u5e74\u7684\u300c\u963f\u5f4c\u9640\u4f5b\u300d\uff0c<\/strong><strong> <\/strong><strong>\u534a\u591c\u7761\u89ba\u4e0d\u6703\u5ff5<\/strong><strong> <\/strong><strong>\uff0c\u53cd\u800c\u6703\u5531\u6b4c<\/strong><strong> <\/strong><strong>\uff0c\u6211\u5c31\u5f88\u96e3\u904e\u3002<\/strong><strong> <\/strong><strong>\u6211\u5c31\u52a0\uff0c<\/strong><strong> <\/strong><strong>\u5f9e\uff08\u6bcf\u5929\u5ff5\u4f5b\uff09\u4e00\u842c\u52a0\u5230\u5169\u842c\u4e09\u842c\uff0c<\/strong><strong> <\/strong><strong>\u7d50\u679c\u4e00\u52a0\u5230\u4e09\u842c<\/strong><strong> <\/strong><strong>\u3001\u9084\u662f\u5169\u842c\u7684\u6642\u5019\uff0c<\/strong><strong> <\/strong><strong>\u6211\u5c31\u5538\u5230\u5f88\u6cd5\u559c\uff0c<\/strong><strong> <\/strong><strong>\u5c31\u597d\u50cf\u6211\u5728\u5e36\u6cd5\u6703<\/strong><strong> <\/strong><strong>\u3002\u9019\u6a23\u5531\u4e86<\/strong><strong> <\/strong><strong>\u300c\u963f\u5f4c\u9640\u4f5b\u3001\u963f\u5f4c\u9640\u4f5b\u3001\u963f\u5f4c\u9640\u4f5b\uff0c\u963f\u5f4c\u9640\u4f5b\uff0c\u963f\u5f4c\u9640\u4f5b\uff0c\u963f\u5f4c\u9640\u4f5b\uff0c\u963f\u5f4c\u9640\u4f5b\u300d\uff0c\u6211\u5531\u5230\u9ad8\u8208\u5f97\u4e0d\u5f97\u4e86\u3002<\/strong><strong> <\/strong><strong>\u597d\u6d88\u606f\uff0c<\/strong><strong> <\/strong><strong>\u534a\u591c\u5c31\u5922\u898b\u89c0\u4e16\u97f3\u83e9\u85a9\u4f86\u83ef\u56b4\u7cbe\u820d\uff0c<\/strong><strong> <\/strong><strong>\u771f\u7684\u4f86\u5594<\/strong><strong> <\/strong><strong>\u3002\u4f46\u662f\u662f\u505a\u5922\uff0c<\/strong><strong> <\/strong><strong>\u83e9\u85a9\u98db\u4f86<\/strong><strong> <\/strong><strong>\uff0c\u771f\u7684\u662f\u98db\u4f86\uff0c<\/strong><strong> <\/strong><strong>\u7136\u5f8c\u4ed6\u5c31\u5728\u5929\u7a7a\u7051\u7518\u9732\uff0c<\/strong><strong> <\/strong><strong>\u7051\u5728\u90a3\u908a<\/strong><strong> <\/strong><strong>\u3002\u6211\u5c31\u8d95\u5feb\u63a5\u7518\u9732<\/strong><strong> <\/strong><strong>\uff0c\u4ed6\u9084\u8ddf\u6211\u8b1b\u8a71\uff0c<\/strong><strong> <\/strong><strong>\u8aaa\uff1a\u300c\u6211\u6bcf\u5e74\u9019\u500b\u6642\u9593\u90fd\u6703\u4f86\u300d<\/strong><strong> <\/strong><strong>\uff0c\u4ed6\u8981\u4f86\u627e\u6211<\/strong><strong> <\/strong><strong>\uff0c\u610f\u601d\u662f\u9019\u6a23\u3002<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>\u7136\u5f8c\u771f\u7684\u7b2c\u4e8c\u5e74\u4ed6\u4f86\u4e86\uff0c\u53ef\u662f\u7b2c\u4e8c\u5e74\u4ed6\u4f86\u4e86\uff0c\u6211\u6709\u8ddf\u4eba\u5bb6\u63d0\u53ca\uff1b\u4ed6\u4f86\u4e86\u4e09\u5e74\uff0c\u56e0\u70ba\u6211\u8ddf\u4eba\u5bb6\u63d0\u53ca\uff0c\u6700\u5f8c\u5c31\u4e0d\u4f86\u4e86\u3002\u53ef\u662f\u5462\uff0c\u6211\u8981\u8b1b\u7684\u5c31\u662f\u8aaa\uff0c\u6211\u9019\u500b\u5883\u754c\u662f\u5f8c\u4f86\uff0c\u6211\u5728\u807d\u5e2b\u7236\u958b\u793a\u7684\u6642\u5019\uff0c\u4ed6\u5c31\u8aaa\uff0c\u5982\u679c\u4e00\u500b\u4eba\u5ff5\u4f5b\uff0c\u4f60\u5ff5\u5230\u8aa0\u5fc3\u5230\u6975\u9ede\u7684\u6642\u5019\uff0c\u4f60\u6703\u611f\u52d5\u5230\uff0c\u7b2c\u4e00\u500b\uff0c\u89c0\u4e16\u97f3\u83e9\u85a9\u6703\u4f86\u8ddf\u4f60\u7051\u7518\u9732\u3002\u6211\u662f\u6709\u4e86\u9019\u500b\u5922\u4e4b\u5f8c\uff0c<\/strong><strong> <\/strong><strong>\u624d\u807d\u5230\u5e2b\u7236\u9019\u9ebc\u8aaa\uff0c<\/strong><strong> <\/strong><strong>\u6211\u624d\u77e5\u9053<\/strong><strong> <\/strong><strong>\u539f\u4f86\u662f\u9019\u6a23\u5b50\u3002<\/strong><strong> <\/strong><strong>\u4e5f\u5c31\u662f\u8aaa\uff0c\u89c0\u4e16\u97f3\u83e9\u85a9\u5f9e\u6b64\u4e4b\u5f8c<\/strong><strong> <\/strong><strong>\uff0c\u4ed6\u6703\u8b77\u6301\u4f60\uff0c\u4e00\u76f4\u5230\u4f60\u6210\u4f5b\u3002\u6642\u9593\u5230\u4e86\uff0c\u73fe\u5728\u6211\u5011\u8981\u5927\u8ff4\u5411\u3002<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Realizing this, I felt very upset. Why, after chanting \u201cAmitabha Buddha\u201d for nearly a year, did I not chant it in my sleep at night, but instead, sing songs? This made me very sad. So, I increased the number of my reciting the Buddha&#8217;s name every day from ten thousand to twenty or thirty thousand. In the dream, the Bodhisattva flew, and then he sprinkled sweet dew in the sky over the Vihara. I quickly picked up a container trying to catch all the sweet dew that was pouring down. Guanyin Bodhisattva told me: &#8220;I will come at this time every year.&#8221;&nbsp; He really did come the next year, and the following year. However, later when I mentioned it to others, he finally stopped coming. He came for 3 years. The Master said that if a person recites Buddha&#8217;s name with extreme sincerity Guanyin Bodhisattva will be moved and come to sprinkle sweet dew on you. It was only after I had this dream that I heard the Master say this, and I realized that this was what it was like. In other words, Guanyin Bodhisattva will protect you from now on until you become a Buddha.
