\u8af8\u4f5b\u83e9\u85a9\uff0c\u5ba3\u516c\u4e0a\u4eba\uff0c\u5404\u4f4d\u6cd5\u5e2b\u548c\u4f5b\u53cb\u5011\uff0c\u963f\u5f4c\u9640\u4f5b\uff01<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

My name is Zhenzi Lee. I was born in Korea. And I am living in L.A. I regularly participate in the Dharma assembly at Gold Wheel Monastery in Los Angeles. I am very glad to share my experience at the City of Ten Thousand Buddhas (CTTB) with everyone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u6211\u7684\u540d\u5b57\u662f\u674e\u8c9e\u59eb\u3002\u6211\u51fa\u751f\u5728\u97d3\u570b\uff0c\u73fe\u4f4f\u5728\u6d1b\u6749\u78ef\u3002\u6211\u7d93\u5e38\u53c3\u52a0\u6d1b\u6749\u78ef\u91d1\u8f2a\u5bfa\u7684\u6cd5\u6703\u3002\u5f88\u9ad8\u8208\u80fd\u8207\u5927\u5bb6\u5206\u4eab\u6211\u5728\u842c\u4f5b\u8056\u57ce\u7684\u7d93\u6b77\u3002<\/strong>   <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n

People might wonder how a Korean who doesn\u2019t know how to speak Chinese comes to the CTTB to cultivate together. (However, over the years, I have learned basic Chinese conversation at CTTB.) I would like to share my short story to everyone. When I went to traditional Chinese medicine school, I met a Dharma master from Taiwan. She told me if I really want to end this life of suffering, I must recite Amitabha\u2019s name. She told me before she goes back to Taiwan, she will visit the great way place in Ukiah, Northern California. She said people up there are diligently cultivating day and night, especially during the Chan session, when they do not lay down to sleep. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u5927\u5bb6\u53ef\u80fd\u6703\u5947\u602a\uff0c\u4e00\u500b\u4e0d\u6703\u8aaa\u4e2d\u6587\u7684\u97d3\u570b\u4eba\uff08\u4e0d\u904e\uff0c\u9019\u4e9b\u5e74\u4f86\uff0c\u6211\u5728\u842c\u4f5b\u8056\u57ce\u5b78\u6703\u4e86\u7c21\u55ae\u7684\u4e2d\u6587\u6703\u8a71\uff09\uff0c\u662f\u5982\u4f55\u4f86\u5230\u842c\u4f5b\u8056\u57ce\u4e00\u8d77\u4fee\u884c\u7684\u3002\u6211\u60f3\u548c\u5927\u5bb6\u5206\u4eab\u6211\u7684\u5c0f\u6545\u4e8b\u3002\u7576\u6211\u5728\u4e2d\u91ab\u5b78\u9662\u4e0a\u8ab2\u6642\uff0c\u6211\u9047\u5230\u4e86\u4e00\u4f4d\u4f86\u81ea\u53f0\u7063\u7684\u6cd5\u5e2b\u3002\u5979\u544a\u8a34\u6211\uff0c\u5982\u679c\u6211\u771f\u60f3\u6d88\u9664\u6b64\u751f\u7684\u75db\u82e6\uff0c\u6211\u5fc5\u9808\u5ff5\u963f\u5f4c\u9640\u4f5b\u540d\u865f\u3002\u5979\u544a\u8a34\u6211\uff0c\u5728\u5979\u56de\u53f0\u7063\u4e4b\u524d\uff0c\u5979\u8981\u53bb\u4f4d\u65bc\u5317\u52a0\u5dde\u745c\u4f3d\u5e02\u7684\u5927\u578b\u9053\u5834\u3002\u5979\u8aaa\u90a3\u5ea7\u9053\u5834\u7684\u4fee\u884c\u4eba\u65e5\u591c\u7cbe\u9032\u8fa6\u9053\uff0c\u5c24\u5176\u5728\u79aa\u4e03\u671f\u9593\uff0c\u4ed6\u5011\u4e0d\u5012\u55ae\u3002<\/strong>  <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ever since the Dharma master told me, I started sincerely to recite Amitabha Buddha\u2019s name trying to end my suffering. And I always thought I would like to visit one day the way place in Ukiah as well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u81ea\u5f9e\u6cd5\u5e2b\u544a\u8a34\u6211\u9019\u4e9b\uff0c\u6211\u4fbf\u958b\u59cb\u8aa0\u5fc3\u5ff5\u8aa6\u963f\u5f4c\u9640\u4f5b\u7684\u540d\u865f\uff0c\u60f3\u8981\u4e86\u82e6\u3002\u6211\u4e5f\u4e00\u76f4\u60f3\u8457\uff0c\u6709\u4e00\u5929\u6211\u8981\u53bb\u745c\u4f3d\u5e02\u7684\u5927\u578b\u9053\u5834\u53c3\u8a2a\u3002<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2000 I tied affinity with Venerable Master\u2019s branch temple in L. A. And I was able to visit CTTB two years later. When I participated in the Amitabha session for the first time, I was amazed by the peaceful chanting with so many people chanting together in the Buddha Hall. The sounds were very quiet and harmonious. I felt I was already in the Pure Land with Amitabha Buddha. I thought \u201cAha, this is the way place that I was looking for. I must come to Amitabha and Chan sessions here often.\u201d And then 15years passed so quickly. I was participating in the Amitabha session almost every year at CTTB.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2000<\/strong>\u5e74\uff0c\u6211\u548c\u4e0a\u4eba\u5728\u6d1b\u6749\u78ef\u7684\u5206\u652f\u9053\u5834\uff08\u91d1\u8f2a\u5bfa\uff09\u7d50\u4e0b\u4e86\u6cd5\u7de3\u3002\u5169\u5e74\u5f8c\uff0c\u6211\u6709\u6a5f\u6703\u4f86\u5230\u842c\u4f5b\u8056\u57ce\u3002\u7576\u6211\u7b2c\u4e00\u6b21\u53c3\u52a0\u4f5b\u4e03\u6642\uff0c\u6211\u88ab\u4f5b\u6bbf\u4e2d\u90a3\u9ebc\u591a\u4eba\u4e00\u8d77\u5e73\u548c\u7684\u5ff5\u8aa6\u6240\u9707\u64bc\u3002\u9019\u4e9b\u8072\u97f3\u975e\u5e38\u5be7\u975c\u548c\u8ae7\u3002\u6211\u611f\u89ba\u81ea\u5df1\u5df2\u7d93\u5728\u963f\u5f4c\u9640\u4f5b\u7684\u6de8\u571f\u4e2d\u3002\u6211\u60f3\uff1a\u300c\u554a\uff01\u9019\u5c31\u662f\u6211\u4e00\u76f4\u5c0b\u627e\u7684\u5927\u9053\u5834\u3002\u6211\u4e00\u5b9a\u8981\u7d93\u5e38\u4f86\u9019\u88e1\u53c3\u52a0\u4f5b\u4e03\u548c\u79aa\u4e03\u3002\u300d\u7136\u5f8c<\/strong>15<\/strong>\u5e74\u904e\u5f97\u98db\u5feb\u3002\u6211\u5e7e\u4e4e\u6bcf\u5e74\u90fd\u53c3\u52a0\u842c\u4f5b\u8056\u57ce\u7684\u4f5b\u4e03\u3002<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Then in 2019 a big disaster came to mankind. Everyone will remember Covid-19. During that time the clinic where I work closed down. CTTB and all the Dharma Realm Buddhist Association branch temples were locked down as well. I remember clearly during the pandemic in L.A. between Dharma friends, our main topic was when will CTTB open again?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2019<\/strong>\u5e74\uff0c\u4eba\u985e\u7684\u5927\u707d\u96e3\u4f86\u8972\u3002\u6bcf\u500b\u4eba\u90fd\u6703\u8a18\u4f4f\u65b0\u51a0\u80ba\u708e\uff08<\/strong>Covid-19<\/strong>\uff09\u3002\u5728\u90a3\u6bb5\u6642\u9593\uff0c\u6211\u5de5\u4f5c\u7684\u8a3a\u6240\u95dc\u9589\u4e86\u3002\u842c\u4f5b\u8056\u57ce\u548c\u6240\u6709\u6cd5\u754c\u4f5b\u6559\u7e3d\u6703\u7684\u5206\u652f\u9053\u5834\u4e5f\u90fd\u95dc\u9589\u4e86\u3002\u6211\u6e05\u695a\u5730\u8a18\u5f97\uff0c\u5728\u75ab\u60c5\u671f\u9593\uff0c\u6d1b\u6749\u78ef\u4f5b\u53cb\u5011\u4e4b\u9593\u7684\u4e3b\u8981\u8a71\u984c\u662f\uff1a\u842c\u4f5b\u8056\u57ce\u4f55\u6642\u6703\u91cd\u65b0\u958b\u653e\uff1f<\/strong> <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I was missing Amitabha and Chan sessions so much. One day I had a dream about a Dharma master from CTTB. She told me that I could come to CTTB. I was so happy and I thought no matter how much I had to pay I better call a helicopter before CTTB changes their decision. I better fly to get there quickly. While I was going to ride in the helicopter, I woke up. And I saw people were still wearing masks in the street. I was very disappointed. We were still in the pandemic. This was nothing but a dream. CTTB would not allow me to come during this time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u6211\u975e\u5e38\u60f3\u5ff5\u4f5b\u4e03\u548c\u79aa\u4e03\u3002\u6709\u4e00\u5929\uff0c\u6211\u5922\u898b\u4e86\u4e00\u4f4d\u4f86\u81ea\u842c\u4f5b\u8056\u57ce\u7684\u6cd5\u5e2b\u3002\u5979\u544a\u8a34\u6211\uff0c\u6211\u53ef\u4ee5\u4f86\u842c\u4f5b\u8056\u57ce\u3002\u6211\u975e\u5e38\u9ad8\u8208\uff0c\u5fc3\u60f3\u7121\u8ad6\u8981\u4ed8\u51fa\u591a\u5c11\u4ee3\u50f9\uff0c\u6211\u6700\u597d\u5728\u842c\u4f5b\u8056\u57ce\u6539\u8b8a\u6c7a\u5b9a\u4e4b\u524d\uff0c\u53eb\u4e00\u67b6\u76f4\u5347\u6a5f\uff0c\u6211\u6700\u597d\u98db\u5feb\u5730\u8d95\u5230\u90a3\u88e1\u3002\u5c31\u5728\u8981\u642d\u4e58\u76f4\u5347\u6a5f\u6642\uff0c\u6211\u5f9e\u5922\u4e2d\u9192\u4f86\u3002\u770b\u5230\u8857\u4e0a\u4eba\u5011\u4ecd\u6234\u8457\u53e3\u7f69\uff0c\u6211\u975e\u5e38\u5931\u671b\u3002\u6211\u5011\u4ecd\u8655\u65bc\u75ab\u60c5\u4e4b\u4e2d\u3002\u9019\u53ea\u662f\u4e00\u5834\u5922\u3002\u842c\u4f5b\u8056\u57ce\u5728\u9019\u6bb5\u6642\u9593\u5167\u4e0d\u6703\u5141\u8a31\u6211\u4f86\u3002<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

But surprisingly a couple of months later my dream came true. One of my friends, who had been doing volunteer for a long time at CTTB, texted me one day \u201cHi! Zhen Zi, how have you been during this pandemic?\u201d I answered, \u201cI am very bored, nervous breakdown every day!\u201c She replied, \u201cWhy don\u2019t you apply to the volunteer program and stay a whole month here?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u4f46\u4ee4\u4eba\u9a5a\u8a1d\u7684\u662f\uff0c\u5e7e\u500b\u6708\u5f8c\u6211\u7684\u5922\u60f3\u6210\u771f\u4e86\u3002\u6211\u7684\u4e00\u4f4d\u670b\u53cb\uff0c\u5979\u5728\u842c\u4f5b\u8056\u57ce\u505a\u4e86\u5f88\u9577\u6642\u9593\u7684\u7fa9\u5de5\uff0c\u6709\u4e00\u5929\u7d66\u6211\u767c\u77ed\u4fe1\uff1a\u300c\u55e8\uff01\u8c9e\u59ec\uff0c\u75ab\u60c5\u671f\u9593\u59b3\u904e\u5f97\u600e\u9ebc\u6a23\uff1f\u300d\u6211\u56de\u7b54\uff1a\u300c\u6211\u5f88\u7121\u804a\uff0c\u6bcf\u5929\u90fd\u611f\u89ba\u795e\u7d93\u8870\u5f31\uff01\u300d\u5979\u56de\u8986\uff1a\u300c\u70ba\u4ec0\u9ebc\u4e0d\u7533\u8acb\u7fa9\u5de5\u8a08\u5283\uff0c\u5728\u9019\u88e1\u4f4f\u4e00\u6574\u500b\u6708\u5462\uff1f\u300d<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I quickly applied and after one week of quarantine at Dragon House, I was able to come to this Buddha Hall again after more than a year. It was an impressive encounter and I spent a very meaningful time at CTTB. Since then, every year during the Amitabha and Chan sessions at CTTB, I have come to volunteer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u6211\u8fc5\u901f\u7533\u8acb\u4e86\uff0c\u4e26\u5728\u9f8d\u6a39\u7cbe\u820d\u9694\u96e2\u4e86\u4e00\u9031\uff0c\u4e00\u5e74\u591a\u5f8c\u6211\u53c8\u80fd\u4f86\u5230\u9019\u5ea7\u4f5b\u6bbf\u4e86\u3002\u9019\u500b\u6a5f\u7de3\u4ee4\u4eba\u5370\u8c61\u6df1\u523b\uff0c\u6211\u5728\u842c\u4f5b\u8056\u57ce\u5ea6\u904e\u4e86\u975e\u5e38\u6709\u610f\u7fa9\u7684\u6642\u5149\u3002\u5f9e\u6b64\uff0c\u6bcf\u5e74\u842c\u4f5b\u8056\u57ce\u4f5b\u4e03\u548c\u79aa\u4e03\u671f\u9593\uff0c\u6211\u90fd\u4f86\u64d4\u4efb\u7fa9\u5de5\u3002<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I heard the Venerable Master often quoted this phrase from the Dao De Jing –<\/em>–\u201cWhen the country is in chaos, there are loyal officers.\u201d Why? I think the reason is that when country is in peace, no one really appreciates the country\u2019s existence. Similarly, when CTTB completely locked down during the pandemic for three years, we all realized the importance of the Triple Jewel and how much CTTB has given spiritual sweet nectar to us. During this calamity, I wish I had become one of the loyal officers who would protect the way place.  How can I do that? <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u6211\u807d\u8aaa\u4e0a\u4eba\u7d93\u5e38\u5f15\u7528\u300a\u9053\u5fb7\u7d93\u300b\u4e2d\u7684\u9019\u53e5\u8a71<\/strong>\u2014\u2014<\/strong>\u300c\u570b\u5bb6\u660f\u4e82\u6709\u5fe0\u81e3\u3002\u300d\u70ba\u4ec0\u9ebc\uff1f\u6211\u8a8d\u70ba\u539f\u56e0\u662f\u7576\u570b\u5bb6\u5b89\u5b9a\u6642\uff0c\u6c92\u6709\u4eba\u771f\u6b63\u611f\u8b1d\u570b\u5bb6\u7684\u5b58\u5728\u3002\u540c\u6a23\uff0c\u5728\u75ab\u60c5\u671f\u9593\uff0c\u842c\u4f5b\u8056\u57ce\u5c01\u57ce\u7684\u4e09\u5e74\u88e1\uff0c\u6211\u5011\u90fd\u610f\u8b58\u5230\u4e86\u4e09\u5bf6\u7684\u91cd\u8981\u6027\uff0c\u4ee5\u53ca\u842c\u4f5b\u8056\u57ce\u7d66\u6211\u5011\u7684\u7cbe\u795e\u7518\u9732\u3002\u5728\u9019\u5834\u75ab\u60c5\u707d\u96e3\u4e2d\uff0c\u6211\u5e0c\u671b\u81ea\u5df1\u80fd\u6210\u70ba\u4e00\u540d\u4fdd\u8b77\u9053\u5834\u7684\u5fe0\u81e3\u3002\u6211\u8a72\u600e\u9ebc\u505a\u5462\uff1f<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

First, whenever there is an online lecture or ceremony at CTTB or a branch temple, I would like to join, learn and put into practice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u9996\u5148\uff0c\u7121\u8ad6\u842c\u4f5b\u8056\u57ce\u6216\u5206\u652f\u9053\u5834\u6709\u4efb\u4f55\u7dda\u4e0a\u8b1b\u5ea7\u6216\u6cd5\u6703\uff0c\u6211\u90fd\u6703\u53c3\u52a0\u3001\u5b78\u7fd2\u4e26\u4ed8\u8af8\u5be6\u8e10\u3002<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Second, whenever there is an opportunity to participate in the ceremony in person or do volunteer work, I will join as much as I can.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u5176\u6b21\uff0c\u7121\u8ad6\u4f55\u6642\u6709\u6a5f\u6703\u89aa\u81ea\u53c3\u52a0\u6cd5\u6703\u6216\u505a\u7fa9\u5de5\uff0c\u6211\u90fd\u6703\u76e1\u91cf\u53c3\u52a0\u3002<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This winter, I asked a couple of Dharma friends, \u201cDo you want to go with me for the Amitabha session?\u201d Their answer was \u201cNo, not this year, now there is Zoom. It is easier to adjust my work schedule or family event\u2026\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u4eca\u5e74\u51ac\u5929\uff0c\u6211\u554f\u4e86\u5e7e\u4f4d\u4f5b\u53cb\uff1a\u300c\u4f60\u5011\u60f3\u548c\u6211\u4e00\u8d77\u53c3\u52a0\u4f5b\u4e03\u55ce\uff1f\u300d\u4ed6\u5011\u7684\u56de\u7b54\u662f\u300c\u4e0d\uff0c\u4eca\u5e74\u4e0d\u53bb\u4e86\u3002\u73fe\u5728\u6709<\/strong>Zoom<\/strong>\uff0c\u53ef\u4ee5\u66f4\u8f15\u9b06\u5730\u8abf\u6574\u5de5\u4f5c\u6642\u9593\u6216\u5bb6\u5ead\u6d3b\u52d5<\/strong>……<\/strong>\u300d<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

But my opinion is different. For instance, if your old parents are out of the country, and you call on your cellphone: \u201cHi! Mom and Daddy, how are you doing this winter? I am a little bit busy here. I hope you doing well.\u201d Or you actually visit them, grab their old hands and check what they need. Everyone think about it, which is more valuable?  Probably the intention is same but the flavor will be different. I think experiencing Amitabha Buddha in a Dharma assembly in a way place is more delightful.  In this way I believe we can accomplish our sincere wishes easier as well. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u4f46\u6211\u7684\u770b\u6cd5\u4e0d\u540c\u3002\u6bd4\u5982\uff0c\u5982\u679c\u4f60\u7684\u7236\u6bcd\u5728\u570b\u5916\uff0c\u800c\u4f60\u7528\u624b\u6a5f\u6253\u96fb\u8a71\uff1a\u300c\u55e8\uff01\u7238\u7238\u5abd\u5abd\uff0c\u4f60\u5011\u9019\u500b\u51ac\u5929\u904e\u5f97\u600e\u9ebc\u6a23\uff1f\u6211\u9019\u88e1\u6bd4\u8f03\u5fd9\u3002\u5e0c\u671b\u4f60\u5011\u4e00\u5207\u90fd\u597d\u3002\u300d\u6216\u8005\u4f60\u89aa\u81ea\u53bb\u770b\u4ed6\u5011\uff0c\u63e1\u4f4f\u4ed6\u5011\u7684\u624b\uff0c\u770b\u770b\u4ed6\u5011\u9700\u8981\u4ec0\u9ebc\u3002\u5927\u5bb6\u60f3\u4e00\u60f3\uff0c\u54ea\u7a2e\u65b9\u5f0f\u66f4\u6709\u50f9\u503c\uff1f\u6216\u8a31\u5fc3\u610f\u662f\u76f8\u540c\u7684\uff0c\u4f46\u611f\u53d7\u53ef\u4e0d\u4e00\u6a23\u3002\u6211\u8a8d\u70ba\u5728\u9053\u5834\u4e2d\u53c3\u52a0\u6cd5\u6703\u9ad4\u9a57\u963f\u5f4c\u9640\u4f5b\u66f4\u6cd5\u559c\u3002\u9019\u6a23\u6211\u76f8\u4fe1\u6211\u5011\u53ef\u4ee5\u66f4\u5bb9\u6613\u5be6\u73fe\u6211\u5011\u771f\u8aa0\u7684\u9858\u671b\u3002<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In conclusion, I would like to express my deepest gratitude to CTTB. It has been a wonderful spiritual teacher to me for so many years. Amitofo!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
