My name is Adrian. Dharma name \u89aa\u667a. Originally I am from Norway, now I study here at the university (Dharma Realm Buddhist University). <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u6211\u7684\u540d\u5b57\u662fAdrian<\/strong>\uff0c\u6cd5\u540d\u89aa\u667a\u3002\u6211\u4f86\u81ea\u632a\u5a01\uff0c\u76ee\u524d\u5c31\u8b80\u65bc\u6cd5\u754c\u4f5b\u6559\u5927\u5b78\u3002<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I feel very grateful to for this opportunity to practice with everyone this week. Already the session is over. It went by very quickly. I would like to thank everyone for making this possible, and for participating in the recitation. I feel very grateful to be able to be here, and to have come into contact with Master Hua\u2019s field. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u6211\u975e\u5e38\u611f\u8b1d\u6709\u9019\u500b\u6a5f\u6703\u8207\u5927\u5bb6\u4e00\u8d77\u4fee\u884c\u3002\u6642\u9593\u904e\u5f97\u5f88\u5feb\uff0c\u4f5b\u4e03\u4eca\u665a\u5713\u6eff\u3002\u6211\u60f3\u611f\u8b1d\u5927\u5bb6\u5171\u540c\u6210\u5c31\u9019\u6b21\u7684\u4f5b\u4e03\u6cd5\u6703\uff0c\u4e26\u611f\u8b1d\u5927\u5bb6\u53c3\u8207\u5ff5\u4f5b\u3002\u6211\u5f88\u611f\u6069\u80fd\u5920\u4f86\u5230\u9019\u88e1\uff0c\u4e26\u6709\u6a5f\u6703\u63a5\u89f8\u5ba3\u5316\u4e0a\u4eba\u7684\u9053\u5834\u3002<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n

It was around this time one year ago that I first heard about the Infinite Life Sutra and about Amitabha and Pure Land practice. I had been practicing meditation and Buddhism for a long time, but I had never encountered this teaching before. In the west, many people don\u2019t know about this Sutra, even though they are practicing Buddhism. But I had a Vietnamese friend who invited me to a Vietnamese temple in Norway to celebrate Amtabha\u2019s Birthday last year, because she knew I was a cultivator. We were doing a 24-hour recitation of the Infinite Life Sutra and reciting the Buddha\u2019s name. It was for only one day. They divided us into five groups so that the chanting could continue the whole night.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u5927\u7d04\u4e00\u5e74\u524d\u7684\u9019\u500b\u6642\u5019\uff0c\u6211\u7b2c\u4e00\u6b21\u807d\u8aaa\u300a\u7121\u91cf\u58fd\u7d93\u300b\u3001\u963f\u5f4c\u9640\u4f5b\u53ca\u6de8\u571f\u4fee\u884c\u3002\u96d6\u7136\u6211\u5df2\u7d93\u4fee\u7fd2\u79aa\u5b9a\u548c\u4f5b\u6cd5\u5f88\u9577\u6642\u9593\u4e86\uff0c\u4f46\u6211\u5f9e\u672a\u63a5\u89f8\u904e\u9019\u500b\u6559\u6cd5\u3002\u5728\u897f\u65b9\uff0c\u8a31\u591a\u4eba\u5373\u4f7f\u5728\u4fee\u7fd2\u4f5b\u6559\uff0c\u4e5f\u4e0d\u77e5\u9053\u9019\u90e8\u7d93\u5178\u3002\u4f46\u6211\u6709\u4e00\u4f4d\u8d8a\u5357\u670b\u53cb\uff0c\u5979\u53bb\u5e74\u9080\u8acb\u6211\u53bb\u632a\u5a01\u7684\u4e00\u5ea7\u8d8a\u5357\u5bfa\u5edf\u6176\u795d\u963f\u5f4c\u9640\u4f5b\u8056\u8a95\uff0c\u56e0\u70ba\u5979\u77e5\u9053\u6211\u662f\u4fee\u884c\u4eba\u3002\u6211\u5011\u9032\u884c\u4e8624<\/strong>\u5c0f\u6642\u7684\u300a\u7121\u91cf\u58fd\u7d93\u300b\u8b80\u8aa6\u548c\u5ff5\u4f5b\u3002\u4ed6\u5011\u628a\u6211\u5011\u5206\u6210\u4e94\u500b\u7d44\uff0c\u4ee5\u4fbf\u6574\u591c\u6301\u8aa6\u3002<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I was in the first group. After a couple of hours, the second group arrived in the Buddha hall, and the people from the first group got up and left. But I did not want to leave, so I stayed to keep reciting the Buddha\u2019s name. Then the third group came after another couple of hours, but I still did not want to leave. Group four came and then group five. It was already morning, I still did not want to leave the Buddha hall, I wanted to keep reciting, but I had to go home. This year I was very happy to get the chance to spend one whole week to recite the Buddha\u2019s name and it has been truly wonderful.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u6211\u5728\u7b2c\u4e00\u7d44\u3002\u5e7e\u500b\u5c0f\u6642\u5f8c\uff0c\u7b2c\u4e8c\u7d44\u4f86\u5230\u4f5b\u5802\uff0c\u7b2c\u4e00\u7d44\u7684\u4eba\u8d77\u8eab\u96e2\u958b\u3002\u4f46\u6211\u4e0d\u60f3\u96e2\u958b\uff0c\u6240\u4ee5\u6211\u7559\u4e0b\u4f86\u7e7c\u7e8c\u5ff5\u4f5b\u3002\u7136\u5f8c\uff0c\u7b2c\u4e09\u7d44\u518d\u904e\u5e7e\u500b\u5c0f\u6642\u5f8c\u4f86\u4e86\uff0c\u6211\u4ecd\u7136\u4e0d\u60f3\u96e2\u958b\u3002\u7b2c\u56db\u7d44\u4f86\u4e86\uff0c\u7136\u5f8c\u662f\u7b2c\u4e94\u7d44\u3002\u5df2\u7d93\u662f\u65e9\u4e0a\u4e86\uff0c\u6211\u4ecd\u7136\u4e0d\u60f3\u96e2\u958b\u4f5b\u5802\uff0c\u6211\u60f3\u7e7c\u7e8c\u5ff5\u4f5b\uff0c\u4f46\u6211\u5fc5\u9808\u56de\u5bb6\u3002\u4eca\u5e74\u6211\u5f88\u9ad8\u8208\u6709\u6a5f\u6703\u82b1\u4e00\u6574\u9031\u7684\u6642\u9593\u4f86\u5ff5\u4f5b\uff0c\u9019\u771f\u662f\u592a\u7f8e\u597d\u4e86\u3002<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Sutra of Infinite Life<\/em> is truly a treasure. I wrote a poem as a way to show my gratitude to everyone in the community here, and to Amitabha Buddha. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u300a\u7121\u91cf\u58fd\u7d93\u300b\u771f\u662f\u4e00\u90e8\u5bf6\u85cf\u3002\u6211\u5beb\u4e86\u4e00\u9996\u8a69\uff0c\u4ee5\u8868\u9054\u6211\u5c0d\u842c\u4f5b\u8056\u57ce\u9019\u88e1\u6bcf\u500b\u4eba\u7684\u611f\u6fc0\u4e4b\u60c5\uff0c\u4ee5\u53ca\u5c0d\u963f\u5f4c\u9640\u4f5b\u7684\u611f\u6069\u3002<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

How wonderful is it not the Sutra of Infinite life?   <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

That it alone bears the name of that which worldly men along with sages and saints have sought in every place and every time.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

And how many one did fail to cross the ocean for infinite life? <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

How great was it not that day of Shakyamuni’s golden countenance,  <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

That even he was filled with unequalled bliss to recollect Amitabha’s glorious vows and limitless opulence.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

And what an act of infinite grace it was to speak, <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

A<\/em>nd <\/em>in the Saha world open the door to the Land of Provisions and Peace.  <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Oh, great wonderful samadhi ecstasy!<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

E<\/em>very <\/em>word of this sutra text attains eternal perfection <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

and we beheld its glory there, <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

B<\/em>ut <\/em>for a week, <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

to take a step in the western direction.   <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Supreme of all spiritual glories  <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

T<\/em>he<\/em> golden body of Amitayus  <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

He showers the world with oceans of ambrosia  <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

A<\/em>nd<\/em> quenches the fires of all earthly passion   <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Now we have been crowned with this Infinite Sutra <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

B<\/em>y<\/em> our fundamental teacher Shakyamuni.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

A<\/em>ll<\/em> death touches here; see us no longer.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

A<\/em>ll<\/em> that is gone; hold us no more  <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

A<\/em>nd bonds and chains of this world may break <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

F<\/em>or <\/em>a good man or woman whom this sutra adorns<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n
