\"\"\u5e2b\u7236\u4e0a\u4eba\u3001\u5404\u4f4d\u6cd5\u5e2b\u3001\u5404\u4f4d\u4f5b\u53cb\uff1a\u963f\u5f4c\u9640\u4f5b\uff01\u9019\u88e1\u662f\u6046\u6559\u3002\u5728\u5927\u4e58\u4f5b\u6559\u4e2d\uff0c\u89c0\u4e16\u97f3\u83e9\u85a9\u4ee3\u8868\u5b8c\u7f8e\u6148\u60b2\u7684\u5316\u8eab\u3002\u4fe1\u4ef0\u89c0\u4e16\u97f3\u83e9\u85a9\u5f9e\u5370\u5ea6\u958b\u59cb\u767c\u8de1\uff0c\u300a\u83ef\u56b4\u7d93\u300b\u4e2d\u63cf\u8ff0\uff1a\u300c\u65bc\u6b64\u5357\u65b9\u6709\u5c71\uff0c\u540d\u88dc\u601b\u6d1b\u4f3d\u5c71\uff0c\u5f7c\u6709\u83e9\u85a9\u540d\u89c0\u4e16\u97f3\u81ea\u5728\u3002\u300d\u88dc\u601b\u6d1b\u4f3d\u5c71\u662f\u5728\u73fe\u5728\u5370\u5ea6\u7684\u5357\u65b9\u3002\u5f9e\u5370\u5ea6\u958b\u59cb\u6d41\u50b3\uff0c\u6771\u81ea\u65e5\u672c\u3001\u97d3\u570b\uff0c\u897f\u81ea\u5370\u5ea6\u3001\u897f\u85cf\uff0c\u5357\u5230\u65af\u91cc\u862d\u5361\u3001\u6771\u5357\u4e9e\uff0c\u5317\u81f3\u8499\u53e4\u3002\u7576\u7136\u5728\u4e2d\u570b\u4f5b\u6559\u56db\u5927\u540d\u5c71\u4e2d\u7684\u666e\u9640\u5c71\uff0c\u4e5f\u662f\u6cbf\u7528\u88dc\u601b\u6d1b\u4f3d\u5c71\u7684\u7c21\u7a31\u800c\u805e\u540d\u3002\u89c0\u4e16\u97f3\u83e9\u85a9\u73fe\u5728\u4e5f\u5230\u4e86\u897f\u65b9\u7684\u6b50\u3001\u7f8e\uff0c\u751a\u81f3\u975e\u6d32\u53ca\u6fb3\u6d32\u90fd\u6709\u4fe1\u4ef0\u89c0\u4e16\u97f3\u83e9\u85a9\u3002\u4e0d\u4f46\u5357\u50b3\u4f5b\u6559\u53ef\u4ee5\u627e\u5230\u89c0\u4e16\u97f3\u83e9\u85a9\u7684\u8e64\u8de1\uff0c\u5728\u5927\u4e58\u4f5b\u6559\u548c\u85cf\u50b3\u5bc6\u6559\u89c0\u4e16\u97f3\u83e9\u85a9\u66f4\u662f\u986f\u8981\u7684\u3002<\/p>\n

According to Mahayana Buddhism, Guan Yin Bodhisattva is the Bodhisattva who represents the perfection of transformation body for his kindness and compassion. As the Flower Adornment Sutra descries, \u201cFrom the South, there is a mountain called Potalaka. <\/strong>There is a bodhisattva named Gwan Shi Yin Self-Mastery.\u201dMountPotalaka is located in the south ofIndia. Faith in Guan Yin Bodhisattva began inIndia and later spread to the east likeJapan, Korean, the west toIndia andTibet, the south toSri Lanka and south East Asia, the north toMongolia. Pu Tou Mountain is the Chinese transliteration of Potalaka, and is recognized as one ofChina’s four most popular Buddhist sacred locations. Nowadays, Guan Shi Yin Bodhisattva has come to Western countries like Europe andAmerica, and recently is even recognized and worshipped in Africa andAustralia. In addition to Theravada Buddhism, Guan Yin Bodhisattva even is very prominent in Mahayana Buddhism and Tibetan Buddhism.<\/p>\n

\u89c0\u97f3\u83e9\u85a9\u6cd5\u8eab\u662f\u904d\u4f48\u5341\u6cd5\u754c\u7684\uff0c\u89c0\u4e16\u97f3\u83e9\u85a9\u5ee3\u5927\u9748\u611f\uff0c\u5e38\u96a8\u773e\u751f\u7684\u56e0\u7de3\u800c\u793a\u73fe\u00a0 \u3002\u5728\u300a\u666e\u9580\u54c1\u300b\u4e2d\u63d0\u5230\uff0c\u89c0\u4e16\u97f3\u83e9\u85a9\u6709\u4e09\u5341\u4e8c\u7a2e\u5316\u8eab\uff0c\u56e0\u61c9\u773e\u751f\u7684\u9700\u8981\u800c\u73fe\u8eab\u8aaa\u6cd5\u3002\u4ed6\u53ef\u4ee5\u5316\u8eab\u70ba\u4f5b\u3001\u8f9f\u652f\u4f5b\u3001\u8072\u805e\u3001\u68b5\u738b\u3001\u5e1d\u91cb\u3001\u81ea\u5728\u5929\u3001\u5927\u81ea\u5728\u5929\u3001\u5929\u5927\u5c07\u8ecd\u3001\u6bd8\u6c99\u9580\u3001\u5c0f\u738b\u3001\u9577\u8005\u3001\u5c45\u58eb\u3001\u5bb0\u5b98\u3001\u5a46\u7f85\u9580\u3001\u6bd4\u4e18\u3001\u6bd4\u4e18\u5c3c\u3001\u512a\u5a46\u585e\u3001\u512a\u5a46\u5937\u3001\u5a66\u5973\u3001\u7ae5\u7537\u3001\u7ae5\u5973\u3001\u5929\u3001\u9f8d\u3001\u591c\u53c9\u3001\u4e7e\u95e5\u5a46\u3001\u963f\u4fee\u7f85\u3001\u8fe6\u6a13\u7f85\u3001\u7dca\u90a3\u7f85\u3001\u6469\u777a\u7f85\u4f3d\u3001\u4eba\u3001\u975e\u4eba\u3001\u57f7\u91d1\u525b\u795e\u7b49\u7b49\u3002\u6240\u4ee5\uff0c\u5728\u4f5b\u6559\u5404\u7a2e\u83e9\u85a9\u50cf\u4e2d\uff0c\u89c0\u4e16\u97f3\u83e9\u85a9\u50cf\u7684\u7a2e\u985e\u4e5f\u662f\u6700\u591a\uff0c\u9019\u5927\u6982\u8207\u89c0\u4e16\u97f3\u6709\u5404\u7a2e\u5316\u8eab\u70ba\u773e\u8aaa\u6cd5\u6709\u95dc\u3002<\/p>\n

Gwan Shi Yin Bodhisattva\u2019s dharma body appears in the ten dharma realms. Gwan Shi Yin Bodhisattva has vast efficacious responses and manifests in accord with the causes and conditions of living beings. The Universal Door Chapter, describes Guan Shi Yin Bodhisattva\u2019s thirty-two transformation bodies, which appear in response to the needs of living beings. He appears as a Buddha, Pratyeka Buddha, Sound-hearer, Brahma Heaven King, Shakra, the God of Comfort, the God of Great Comfort, mighty General of the Gods, God Vaisravana, minor king, elder, minister of state, Brahman, Bhikshu, Bhikshuni, layman, laywoman, lad or maiden, God, Dragon, Yaksha, Gandharva, Asura, Garuda, Kinnara, Mahoraga, human, nonhuman, Vajra-wielding Spirit. Among many other statues in Buddhism, Gwan Yin Bodhisattva has the most number of images which depictg him. It is possible that a variety of Guan Yin Bodhisattva manifestations for speaking dharma to various individuals in accord with their potentials is found throughoutAsia.<\/p>\n

\u4f8b\u5982\u6700\u5e38\u898b\u7684\u767d\u8863\u89c0\u97f3\u3001\u5343\u624b\u5343\u773c\u89c0\u97f3\u3001\u89c0\u81ea\u5728\u83e9\u85a9\u3001\u5584\u8ca1\u9f8d\u5973\u89c0\u97f3\u3001\u9b5a\u7c43\u89c0\u97f3\u7b49\u7b49\u3002\u5728\u300a\u83ef\u56b4\u7d93\u5165\u6cd5\u754c\u54c1\u300b\u4e2d\uff0c\u5584\u8ca1\u5c0a\u8005\u7d93\u904e\u4e94\u5341\u4e09\u53c3\u4e4b\u5f8c\uff0c\u7d42\u65bc\u609f\u9053\u3002\u5584\u8ca1\u7ae5\u5b50\u53c3\u8a2a\u7684\u7b2c\u4e8c\u5341\u4e03\u53c3\u5c31\u662f\u89c0\u4e16\u97f3\u83e9\u85a9\u3002\u89c0\u4e16\u97f3\u83e9\u85a9\u5c0d\u5584\u8ca1\u7ae5\u5b50\u5ba3\u8aaa\u5927\u6148\u60b2\u6cd5\u3002\u800c\u53e6\u4e00\u4f4d\u9f8d\u5973\u5c0a\u8005\uff0c\u5247\u662f\u5728\u65bc\u6cd5\u83ef\u6703\u4e0a\u6210\u4f5b\uff0c\u53c8\u793a\u73fe\u70ba\u7ae5\u5973\u8eab\uff0c\u8207\u5584\u8ca1\u4e00\u540c\uff0c\u6210\u70ba\u89c0\u4e16\u97f3\u83e9\u85a9\u7684\u5de6\u53f3\u8105\u4f8d\u3002\u4ed6\u5011\u5006\u96a8\u540c\u89c0\u4e16\u97f3\u83e9\u85a9\uff0c\u9020\u798f\u4eba\u9593\uff0c\u5229\u6a02\u6709\u60c5\u3002\u4ed6\u5011\u4e5f\u662f\u89c0\u4e16\u97f3\u201c\u805e\u8072\u6551\u82e6\u201d\u7684\u5de6\u53f3\u52a9\u624b\u3002<\/p>\n

The most common of these have been Guan Yin in white, Guan Yin with thousands of hands and eyes, Guan Yin of self-mastery, Guan Yin with Sudhana and Dragon Girl, Guan Yin holding a fish basket, etc. In the Entering the Dharma Realm Chapter of the Flower Adornment Sutra, Sudhana obtains enlightenment after he learns from fifty three good knowing advisors. \u00a0Guan Yin Bodhisattva is the twenty-seventh advisor whom Sudhana has learned from. \u00a0Guan Yin Bodhisattva speaks the great compassion dharma to Sudhana. \u00a0Meanwhile, another dragon girl also becomes a Buddha during the Dharma Flower assembly. He manifests as a maiden, and together with Sudhana, becomes an attendant of Guan Yin Bodhisattva. The two of them, along with Guan Yin Bodhisattva, create blessings for and bring happiness to living beings. They become the two helpers of Guan Yin\u2019s rescuing living beings upon hearing their suffering.<\/p>\n

\u89c0\u97f3\u83e9\u85a9\u7684\u6cd5\u8eab\u4e0d\u4f46\u904d\u4f48\u5341\u6cd5\u754c\uff0c\u5728\u5a11\u5a46\u4e16\u754c\u4e2d\u66f4\u662f\u8a8d\u77e5\u5ea6\u6700\u9ad8\u7684\u4e00\u4f4d\u83e9\u85a9\u3002\u5728\u4f5b\u6559\u7684\u9053\u5834\u88e1\uff0c\u4e0d\u7ba1\u662f\u986f\u6559\u3001\u5bc6\u6559\uff0c\u6216\u79aa\u5b97\u3001\u6559\u5b97\uff0c\u4e43\u81f3\u6de8\u571f\u5b97\u90fd\u4fee\u7fd2\u89c0\u97f3\u6cd5\u9580\u3002\u4f8b\u5982\u548c\u79aa\u5b97\u7d93\u5178\u4e2d\u8207\u89c0\u97f3\u6cd5\u9580\u6700\u5bc6\u5207\u7684\u662f\u300a\u5fc3\u7d93\u300b\u548c\u300a\u695e\u56b4\u7d93\u300b\u7684\u4e8c\u5341\u4e94\u8056\u2500\u2500\u89c0\u97f3\u83e9\u85a9\u7684\u8033\u6839\u5713\u901a\uff0c\u5bc6\u5b97\u7684\u5927\u60b2\u5492\u548c\u56db\u5341\u4e8c\u624b\u773c\uff0c\u6de8\u571f\u5b97\u7684\u300a\u89c0\u7121\u91cf\u58fd\u4f5b\u7d93\u300b\u3002<\/p>\n

Guan Yin Bodhisattva\u2019s dharma body appears throughout the Ten Dharma Realms. Among Bodhisattvas, he is most popular and recognized in the Saha World. In Buddhist temples, whether emphasizing exoteric dharmas, esoteric dharmas, Chan School, Teaching School, and especially the Pure Land School, Guan Yin methods are practiced. The classicChanSchool, for example, the Heart Sutra of Guan Yin Bodhisattva, as well as Guan Yin Bodhisattva\u2019s method of Perfect Penetration of Ear Organ found in the Twenty-Five Sages of the Shuragama Sutra. The Great Compassion Mantra and the Forty-two Hands and Eyes are important in theSecretSchool, and the Sutra of Visualizing the Buddha of Limitless Lifespan is also studied and practiced in thePureLandSchool.<\/p>\n

\u6839\u64da\u300a\u7384\u5958\u5927\u5e2b\u50b3\u300b\u4e2d\u8a18\u8f09\uff0c\u7384\u5958\u5927\u5e2b\u6709\u591a\u6b21\u7948\u6c42\u89c0\u97f3\u7684\u9748\u611f\u7d93\u9a57\u3002\u7384\u5958\u5927\u5e2b\u5728\u53d6\u7d93\u7684\u904e\u7a0b\uff0c\u9047\u5230\u60e1\u9b3c\u7570\u985e\u6216\u6709\u96aa\u96e3\u8655\u4e5f\u90fd\u662f\u5ff5\u8aa6\u300a\u822c\u82e5\u5fc3\u7d93\u300b\u548c\u5ff5\u89c0\u4e16\u97f3\u83e9\u85a9\u3002\u7b49\u5230\u56de\u5230\u9577\u5b89\uff0c\u6240\u7372\u7d93\u8ad6\u516d\u767e\u4e94\u5341\u4e03\u90e8\u3002\u4ed6\u81ea\u8a55\u8aaa\u7686\u4ef0\u4ed7\u65bc\u300a\u822c\u82e5\u5fc3\u7d93\u300b\u548c\u89c0\u4e16\u97f3\u83e9\u85a9\u7684\u6148\u60b2\u529b\u3002\u5e2b\u7236\u4e0a\u4eba\u4e5f\u662f\u4fee\u6301\u5927\u60b2\u5492\u53ca\u56db\u5341\u4e8c\u624b\u773c\u4f86\u5b89\u5929\u7acb\u5730\u3002\u53e6\u5916\uff0c\u82e5\u6709\u8b77\u570b\u606f\u707d\u6cd5\u6703\u4e5f\u662f\u4ee5\u89c0\u97f3\u83e9\u85a9\u7684\u6cd5\u9580\u70ba\u4e3b\u3002\u56e0\u70ba\u89c0\u97f3\u83e9\u85a9\u4e0d\u4f46\u6551\u96e3\uff0c\u66f4\u6551\u6025\u3002<\/p>\n

According to the “Biography of Master Xuanzang”, Master Xuan Zang prayed and received many responses from Guan yin Bodhisattva. Whenever Master Xuan Zang encountered evil ghosts or difficulties and dangers along his journey toIndiato obtain the Buddhist canon, he always recited the “Prajnaparamita Sutra” and recited Guan Yin Bodhisattva\u2019s name. He brought back with him to Chang’an China six hundred and fifty seven sutras and shastras. He commented that he basically relied on the “Heart Sutra” and the power of Guan Yin Bodhisattva\u2019s compassion. Our Venerable Master also recited the Great Compassion Mantra and practiced the Forty-two Hands and Eyes to settle the heave and the earth. In addition, at every dharma assembly aimed at protecting the country and quelling disasters, Guan yin Bodhisattva\u2019s method are the key and Guan Yin Bodhisattva is the host. Not only can Guan Yin Bodhisattva rescue living beings from difficulty and suffering but also he can imediately respond to emergencies.<\/p>\n

\u9664\u4e86\u4fee\u9053\u4eba\u548c\u7687\u89aa\u986f\u8981\u4ee5\u5916\uff0c\u89c0\u97f3\u83e9\u85a9\u66f4\u662f\u8a31\u591a\u5e73\u6c11\u8001\u767e\u59d3\u6240\u4f9d\u6b78\u7684\u5c0d\u8c61\u3002\u524d\u4e00\u9663\u5b50\u745c\u4f3d\u93ae\u7684\u845b\u745e\u7d72 \u54c8\u5fb7\u68ee\u535a\u7269\u9928\u5c55\u51fa\u4e00\u7cfb\u5217\u672c\u5730\u7684\u6b77\u53f2\u6587\u7269\u3002\u842c\u4f5b\u8056\u57ce\u4e5f\u662f\u5176\u4e2d\u4e00\u90e8\u5206\u3002\u6211\u672c\u4f86\u4ee5\u70ba\u842c\u4f5b\u57ce\u662f\u552f\u4e00\u4ee3\u8868\u7576\u5730\u4f5b\u6559\u7684\u5718\u9ad4\u3002\u53bb\u4e86\u624d\u77e5\u9053\uff0c\u89c0\u97f3\u83e9\u85a9\u6bd4\u6211\u5011\u90fd\u65e9\u5230\u4e86\u745c\u4f3d\u93ae\u3002\u56e0\u70ba\u5728\u535a\u7269\u9928\u5167\u770b\u5230\u4e00\u5c0a\u9285\u88fd\u7684\u89c0\u4e16\u97f3\u83e9\u85a9\u50cf\u3002\u8b80\u4e86\u8aaa\u660e\u5f8c\uff0c\u624d\u77e5\u9053\u9019\u5c0a\u89c0\u97f3\u50cf\u662f\u5c6c\u65bc\u9019\u500b\u845b\u745e\u7d72 \u54c8\u5fb7\u68ee\u5bb6\u65cf\u6240\u96c7\u7528\u7684\u4e00\u4f4d\u738b\u59d3\u9577\u5de5\u7684\u3002\u7576\u5e74\u738b\u59d3\u5bb6\u65cf\u5f9e\u4e2d\u570b\u96e2\u9109\u80cc\u4e95\uff0c\u98c4\u6d0b\u904e\u6d77\u5c31\u5e36\u8457\u9019\u5c0a\u89c0\u97f3\u83e9\u85a9\u3002\u63a8\u7b97\u4e00\u4e0b\u9019\u6b77\u53f2\u80cc\u666f\uff0c\u61c9\u8a72\u662f\u5728\u4e00\u516b\u516d\u96f6\u5e74\u591a\uff0c\u4e5f\u662f\u5728\u52a0\u5dde\u6dd8\u91d1\u71b1\u5f8c\uff0c\u7576\u6642\u6709\u5927\u91cf\u4e2d\u570b\u4eba\u4f86\u6dd8\u91d1\u505a\u7926\u5de5\u3002\u53ef\u898b\u5f97\u89c0\u97f3\u83e9\u85a9\u5c0d\u4e00\u822c\u8001\u767e\u59d3\u7684\u91cd\u8981\u6027\u3002<\/p>\n

In addition to cultivators, kings and officials, many common people also rely on Guan Yin Bodhisattva. Last month, theGraceHudsonMuseumin Ukiah showed a series of local historical artifacts. CTTB also was included in the exhibit. Originally, I thought CTTB was the only Buddhist group in this town. After I went to the Museum, I discovered that Guan Yin Bodhisattva has arrived in Ukiah much earlier. In the exhibit was a display of Guanyin Bodhisattva. Reading the description, I learned that this Guan Yin statue was owned by the Wong family who worked for Grace Hudson\u2019s family. When the Wongs left their hometown inChinaand crossed the sea, they carried this Guan Yin Bodhisattva statue with them on their long journey. This event took place in the 1860s. That was the time of the gold rush, when a large number of Chinese people came far away fromChinaand worked in the gold mines. This is one aspect to show the importance of Guan Yin Bodhisattva in the minds of common people.<\/p>\n

\u5728\u300a\u695e\u56b4\u7d93\u300b\u7684\u4e8c\u5341\u4e94\u8056\u4e2d\u63d0\u5230\uff0c\u4f5b\u6ec5\u5ea6\u5f8c\u6b64\u754c\u773e\u751f\u70ba\u5165\u83e9\u85a9\u4e58\u3001\u70ba\u6c42\u7121\u4e0a\u9053\uff0c\u54ea\u4e00\u7a2e\u65b9\u4fbf\u9580\u6700\u5bb9\u6613\u6210\u5c31\uff1f\u7d93\u4e2d\u63d0\u5230\u89c0\u97f3\u83e9\u85a9\u7684\u8033\u6839\u5713\u901a\u3002\u89c0\u97f3\u83e9\u85a9\u96d6\u7136\u6642\u6642\u5728\u5b9a\u4e2d\uff0c\u9084\u662f\u53ef\u4ee5\u8655\u8655\u5c0b\u8072\u6551\u82e6\u3002\u6bd4\u8d77\u5176\u5b83\u4e94\u6839\u4f86\u8aaa\uff0c\u6211\u5011\u4eba\u7684\u8033\u6839\u662f\u6700\u5229\u7684\u3002\u5c31\u597d\u50cf\u4e00\u500b\u4eba\u96d6\u7136\u7761\u8457\u4e86\uff0c\u82e5\u6709\u4eba\u6572\u9418\u6216\u64ca\u9f13\uff0c\u9084\u662f\u6703\u6709\u89ba\u77e5\u3002<\/p>\n

The Twenty Five Sages Speak of Enlightenment Chapter of the Shuragama Sutra, investigates which of those twenty-five methods of practice will most efficaciously lead beings of this world to practice in accord with the Vehicle of the Bodhisattvas and to follow the path to supreme enlightenment. Which of those methods will lead them most easily to success? It recommends the practice perfected by Guan Yin Bodhisattva through the faculty of hearing as the easiest way to reach enlightenment.\u00a0 Although Guan Yin Bodhisattva dwells in Samadhi, he is still able to hear the sounds of suffering and leave the suffering behind. Compared to the other five faculties, the hearing faculty is the most effective. It is like a person who fell asleep but still can hear the sounds of striking the bell or drum.<\/p>\n

\u5e7e\u5e74\u524d\u6cd5\u5927\u6709\u4e00\u5802\u8ab2\u53eb\u672b\u671f\u75c5\u4eba\u5b89\u990a\u9662\u3002\u9019\u662f\u63d0\u4f9b\u4e00\u4e9b\u7f79\u60a3\u9577\u671f\u7d55\u75c7\u75c5\u4eba\u5fc3\u7406\u548c\u8eab\u9ad4\u7684\u91ab\u7642\u670d\u52d9\u3002\u9019\u5802\u8ab2\u662f\u7531\u4e00\u4e9b\u767c\u5fc3\u7684\u91ab\u751f\u53ca\u8b77\u7406\u4eba\u54e1\u4f86\u8f2a\u6d41\u6559\u5b78\u751f\u5982\u4f55\u5e6b\u52a9\u9019\u4e9b\u75c5\u4eba\u3002\u6700\u5f8c\u4e00\u5802\u8ab2\u6642\uff0c\u6709\u4e00\u4f4d\u7fa9\u5de5\u5c31\u548c\u5927\u5bb6\u5206\u4eab\u5979\u7684\u6545\u4e8b\u3002\u5979\u8aaa\u5979\u662f\u70ba\u4e86\u5831\u6069\u624d\u4f86\u505a\u7fa9\u5de5\u3002\u7576\u5e74\u5979\u66fe\u7d93\u4e00\u5ea6\u88ab\u5ba3\u4f48\u660f\u8ff7\uff0c\u800c\u5979\u7684\u5148\u751f\u4e0d\u4e45\u5c31\u6709\u4e86\u5973\u670b\u53cb\uff0c\u9084\u628a\u4ed6\u7684\u5973\u670b\u53cb\u5e36\u5728\u8eab\u908a\u4e00\u8d77\u4f86\u770b\u5979\u3002\u5979\u544a\u8a34\u6211\u5011\u8aaa\u5979\u53ef\u4ee5\u807d\u5f97\u5230\u4ed6\u5011\u7684\u5c0d\u8a71\uff0c\u5979\u975e\u5e38\u50b7\u5fc3\uff0c\u4e5f\u6c92\u6709\u6c42\u751f\u7684\u610f\u5fd7\u3002\u5f8c\u4f86\u5979\u807d\u5230\u5979\u4e03\u6b72\u7684\u5152\u5b50\u5728\u5979\u8033\u908a\u8aaa\uff1a\u5abd\u5abd\u60a8\u662f\u6211\u4e16\u754c\u4e0a\u6700\u611b\u7684\u4eba\uff0c\u5979\u5c31\u840c\u751f\u6c42\u751f\u7684\u610f\u5fd7\u3002\u6700\u5f8c\u5979\u597d\u4e86\u8d77\u4f86\u3002\u4e4b\u524d\u4e5f\u6709\u6cd5\u5e2b\u5728\u81fa\u4e0a\u63d0\u5230\u81e8\u7d42\u52a9\u5ff5\u7684\u91cd\u8981\u6027\uff0c\u4e5f\u5c31\u662f\u7528\u8033\u6839\u7684\u805e\u6027\u4f86\u5e6b\u52a9\u6211\u5011\u5f80\u751f\u5584\u9053\u3002<\/p>\n

Several years ago, there was a course called \u201cHospice\u201d in DRBU. \u00a0It\u2019s a program designed to provide a caring environment for meeting the physical and emotional needs of the terminally ill. There were several doctors and nurses and other volunteers who took turns to take care of the patients who have terminal illnesses. In the final class, a volunteer shared her personal story. She felt eternal gratitude to this program for saving her life. She joined this volunteer team in order to express her gratitude. \u00a0She was once diagnosed as comatose. Not too long after being in a coma, her husband got a new girl friend and two went together to check on her. She told us that she still could hear their conversation, and she was very sad and wanted to give up her life. Not until she heard her seven-year-old son, who spoke close to her ear, and said, \u201cMom! You are the dearest person whom I love in this world!\u201d\u00a0 It was then that she gained the will to stay alive. Finally, she was able to awaken from the coma and recovered completely. Previously, another Dharma Master also spoke on the importance the hearing faculty in reciting Buddha\u2019s Name for people who are passing away. It is the application of the nature of hearing related to our ear faculty that assists us to be reborn in a wholesome realm.<\/p>\n

\u4eca\u5e74\u904e\u4e2d\u570b\u5e74\u6642\u6211\u5728\u6cd5\u754c\uff0c\u5927\u5e74\u521d\u4e00\u665a\u8ab2\u6642\u5c31\u6709\u4e00\u4f4d\u8001\u540c\u4fee\u7684\u5152\u5b50\u4f86\u5230\u6cd5\u754c\u3002\u539f\u4f86\u9019\u4f4d\u8001\u5c45\u58eb\u7a81\u7136\u75c5\u5012\uff0c\u5bb6\u4eba\u5c31\u9001\u4ed6\u53bb\u91ab\u9662\u6025\u6551\uff0c\u9019\u500b\u5152\u5b50\u662f\u5bb6\u4e2d\u6700\u5c0f\u7684\uff0c\u6240\u4ee5\u4ed6\u7684\u9577\u5144\u5011\u5c31\u8655\u7406\u5bb6\u88e1\u7684\u4e8b\uff0c\u4ed6\u4e5f\u5e6b\u4e0d\u4e0a\u5176\u5b83\u7684\u4e8b\uff0c\u5c31\u8dd1\u5230\u6cd5\u754c\u7948\u6c42\u4f5b\u83e9\u85a9\u4fdd\u4f51\u3002\u4ed6\u8981\u6c42\u6cd5\u5e2b\u958b\u9ea5\u514b\u98a8\u7d66\u4ed6\uff0c\u7576\u6642\u6cd5\u5e2b\u6709\u9ede\u4e0d\u89e3\uff0c\u554f\u4e86\u4e4b\u5f8c\uff0c\u624d\u77e5\u9053\u4ed6\u89ba\u5f97\u7528\u9ea5\u514b\u98a8\u83e9\u85a9\u624d\u807d\u5f97\u5230\u3002\u90a3\u83e9\u85a9\u4e5f\u5f88\u5e6b\u5fd9\uff0c\u4ed6\u7684\u7236\u89aa\u771f\u7684\u4e00\u5169\u5929\u5c31\u51fa\u9662\u4e86\u3002\u9019\u8ddf\u9ea5\u514b\u98a8\u6709\u6c92\u6709\u5f88\u5927\u7684\u95dc\u4fc2\u6211\u4e0d\u77e5\u9053\uff0c\u4f46\u662f\u6211\u60f3\u9019\u548c\u4ed6\u7684\u8aa0\u5fc3\u6bd4\u8f03\u6709\u95dc\u4fc2\u3002\u56e0\u70ba\u4eba\u8981\u6709\u8aa0\u5fc3\uff0c\u4f5b\u5c31\u6709\u611f\u61c9\u3002<\/p>\n

This past Chinese New Year, I was inTaipeibranch, and the first day of Chinese New Year, an old lay member\u2019s son came to join us. It turns out that old layman suddenly fell ill, and his family sent him to the emergency hospital. This son is the youngest one, so his other older brothers took care of almost everything. So, he really couldn\u2019t do much to help. So, he came to the Tapipei Branch to pray to the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas for blessings on his father\u2019s behalf. He asked us to turn on the microphone for him to use. At that time dharma masters there were a little puzzled, and asked why he wanted to use the mike. He replied that the amplification from the microphone would ensure that the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas would hear his prayer. In fact, Bodhisattvas responded his request very well; his father was discharged the next day.\u00a0 I don\u2019t know if the response really resulted from using the microphone, but I think his sincerity is the key. Because according to the level of one\u2019s sincerity the Buddhas will respond.<\/p>\n

\u90a3\u600e\u6a23\u624d\u80fd\u548c\u89c0\u97f3\u83e9\u85a9\u76f8\u901a\u5462? \u6709\u4e00\u5929\u6211\u6b63\u597d\u5728\u627e\u4e00\u4f4d\u6cd5\u5e2b\uff0c\u9019\u4f4d\u6cd5\u5e2b\u6b63\u5728\u505a\u62cd\u624b\u904b\u52d5\uff0c\u800c\u4e14\u96e2\u6211\u5927\u6982\u6709\u4e94\u5341\u516c\u5c3a\u9060\uff0c\u6211\u53eb\u5979\u5e7e\u6b21\u5979\u90fd\u6c92\u807d\u5230\uff0c\u6211\u5c31\u60f3\u6211\u8981\u600e\u6a23\u8b93\u5979\u77e5\u9053\u6211\u5728\u627e\u5979\u5462? \u6211\u5c31\u60f3\u4e86\u4e00\u4e0b\uff0c\u90a3\u6211\u4e5f\u62cd\u624b\u597d\u4e86\uff0c\u7d50\u679c\u6211\u62cd\u4e86\u5e7e\u4e0b\u5979\u5c31\u597d\u50cf\u6709\u53cd\u61c9\uff0c\u6211\u5c31\u7e7c\u7e8c\u62cd\uff0c\u62cd\u5230\u5979\u8f49\u904e\u982d\u56db\u8655\u770b\u770b\u3002 \u9019\u6642\u5979\u5c31\u770b\u5230\u6211\u4e86\u3002\u6240\u4ee5\u6211\u5011\u6301\u5ff5\u89c0\u97f3\u83e9\u85a9\u8056\u865f\u4e5f\u5c31\u662f\u9019\u6a23\u3002\u6211\u5011\u8981\u548c\u89c0\u97f3\u83e9\u85a9\u76f8\u61c9\uff0c\u5c31\u662f\u4e00\u5fc3\u7a31\u5ff5\u89c0\u97f3\u83e9\u85a9\u7684\u8056\u865f\u3002<\/p>\n

So how can we connect with Guan Yin Bodhisattva? One day I happened to be looking for a Dharma Master, and she was doing a clapping hands exercise. She was about fifty meters away from me; I called her several times, but she did not hear me. I was thinking how to make her to be aware of me? I thought for a moment, and then I decided to clap my hands, too. After I clapped for a few seconds, she seemed to hear me. And after a few minutes, she turned to look around, and then she saw me. So, upholding Guan yin Bodhisattva\u2019s name is similar. If we want to connect with Guan Yin Bodhisattva, then it is said in the Sutra that we have to uphold his name single mindedly.<\/p>\n

\u89c0\u4e16\u97f3\u83e9\u85a9\u662f\u60b2\u667a\u96d9\u5168\uff0c\u4ed6\u7684\u529f\u5fb7\u667a\u6167\u662f\u4fee\u884c\u5e73\u7b49\u6148\u60b2\u6240\u6210\u5c31\u7684\u3002\u5982\u300a\u4f5b\u8aaa\u7f85\u6469\u4f3d\u7d93\u300b\u5377\u4e0a\u89c0\u4e16\u97f3\u83e9\u85a9\u7ae0\u8aaa\uff1a\u300c\u5584\u7537\u5b50\u3002\u6211\u5df2\u6210\u5c31\u6bd8\u7f85\u6469\u4f3d\u4e09\u6627\u5927\u60b2\u6cd5\u9580\u3002\u5584\u7537\u5b50\u3002\u6b64\u6bd8\u7f85\u6469\u4f3d\u4e09\u6627\u5927\u60b2\u6cd5\u9580\u3002\u662f\u83e9\u85a9\u884c\u3002\u4e00\u5207\u83e9\u85a9\u529f\u5fb7\u667a\u6167\u3002\u300d<\/p>\n

Gwan Shr Yin Bodhisattva is complete in both compassion and wisdom. His merititorious virtue and wisdom were achieved through the cultivation of kindness and compassion shown equally to all. As the Buddha says in the first part of\u00a0the Viranga Sutra Spoken by the Buddha)\u00a0<\/em>[= the Chapter on\u00a0Entering the Dharma Realm (Gandavyuha) of the Avatamsaka Sutra<\/em>], \u201cGood man, I have already accomplished the Dharma door of great compassion of the Viranga Samadhi. Good man, this Dharma door of great compassion of the Viranga Samadhi is the meritorious virtue and wisdom of all Bodhisattvas which a Bodhisattva cultivates.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u89c0\u97f3\u83e9\u85a9\u7684\u5343\u773c\u6709\u89c0\u7167\u4e4b\u660e\u3001\u5343\u624b\u6709\u8b77\u6301\u4e4b\u529b\uff1b\u800c\u5343\u773c\u4ee3\u8868\u8457\u822c\u82e5\u667a\u6167\uff0c\u56e0\u4ee5\u4e94\u860a\u7686\u7a7a\uff0c\u7167\u898b\u4e16\u9593\u7684\u7121\u5e38\u3001\u7121\u6211\uff0c\u624d\u80fd\u5ea6\u4e00\u5207\u82e6\u5384\u3002\u6211\u5011\u4e00\u822c\u4eba\u9084\u6709\u57f7\u8457\u9019\u4e94\u860a\uff0c\u6240\u4ee5\u7121\u6cd5\u7167\u898b\u4e94\u860a\u7686\u7a7a\uff0c\u8d77\u4e86\u5c0d\u5f85\u5fc3\u5c31\u958b\u59cb\u6709\u4eba\u3001\u6211\u7684\u5206\u5225\u3002\u53ea\u6709\u771f\u6b63\u80fd\u505a\u5230\u7121\u4eba\u3001\u7121\u6211 \u6642\uff0c\u624d\u80fd\u4ee5\u773e\u751f\u4e4b\u82e6\u96e3\u70ba\u82e6\u96e3\u3002\u5343\u624b\u4ee3\u8868\u8457\u6148\u60b2\uff0c\u884c\u83e9\u85a9\u9053\u3002\u5728\u300a\u666e\u9580\u54c1\u300b\u4e2d\u4e5f\u63d0\u5230\uff0c\u89c0\u4e16\u97f3\u83e9\u85a9\u662f\u300c\u65bd\u7121\u754f\u8005\u300d\uff0c\u7d66\u4e88\u7a2e\u7a2e\u7684\u7121\u754f\u65bd\uff0c\u5e6b\u52a9\u773e\u751f\u514d\u9664\u8af8\u60e1\u8da3\uff0c\u6ec5\u9664\u8af8\u7d50\u4f7f\uff0c\u4ee4\u767c\u5927\u60b2\u5fc3\uff0c\u5f15\u5c0e\u5165\u6975\u6a02\u3002<\/p>\n

Guan Yin Bodhisattva\u2019s thousand eyes have the light of contemplating wisdom; his thousand hands have the power to protect and assist. \u00a0His thousand eyes represent the profound prajna wisdom. He illuminated the five skandhas and saw that they are all empty, and saw that there is nothing permanent\u2014there is no self in this world. Therefore, he can cross beyond all suffering and difficulty. As ordinary people, we are still attached to the five skandhas, so we don\u2019t understand that they are actually empty and thereby unreal.\u00a0 So, when we begin to react to objects, we will discriminate self and others. Only if one can attain the mark of no others and no self can one be able to take other\u2019s suffering as one\u2019s own. His thousand hands represent compassion, as part of practice on the Bodhisattva\u2019s path. \u00a0The Universal Door Chapter also mentions how Guan Yin Bodhisattva can bestow courage and dispel all fears. He gives fourteen kinds of fearlessness to help living beings avoid falling into the evil destinies, eradicating their karmic obstacles, bringing forth their compassion, and directing them to be born in the Land of Ultimate Bliss.<\/p>\n

\u300a\u89c0\u7121\u91cf\u58fd\u7d93\u300b\u63d0\u5230\u89c0\u4e16\u97f3\u83e9\u85a9\u548c\u5927\u52e2\u81f3\u83e9\u85a9\u662f\u963f\u5f4c\u9640\u4f5b\u7684\u5169\u5927\u8107\u4f8d\u83e9\u85a9\u3002\u53e6\u5916\u6b64\u4e2d\u5341\u516d\u89c0\u7684\u7b2c\u5341\u89c0\u300c\u89c0\u97f3\u89c0\u300d\u4e5f\u63d0\u5230\uff0c\u51e1\u4e0a\u54c1\u5f80\u751f\u7684\u4fee\u884c\u4eba\uff0c\u81e8\u547d\u7d42\u6642\u5c07\u898b\u5230\u963f\u5f4c\u9640\u4f5b\u8207\u89c0\u4e16\u97f3\u83e9\u85a9\u3001\u5927\u52e2\u81f3\u83e9\u85a9\u6301\u5bf6\u81fa\u4f86\u8fce\u63a5\u3002\u6240\u4ee5\u89c0\u4e16\u97f3\u83e9\u85a9\u4e0d\u4f46\u662f\u963f\u5f4c\u9640\u4f5b\u7684\u52a9\u624b\uff0c\u5354\u52a9\u773e\u751f\u5f80\u751f\u6de8\u571f\u7684\u63a5\u5f15\u8005\uff0c\u66f4\u662f\u4e00\u751f\u88dc\u8655\u7684\u5927\u83e9\u85a9\u3002\u7b49\u963f\u5f4c\u9640\u4f5b\u5165\u6d85\u69c3\uff0c\u89c0\u4e16\u97f3\u83e9\u85a9\u5c31\u905e\u88dc\u4f5b\u4f4d\u3002<\/p>\n

The \u201cSutra of the Buddha of Limitless Lifespan\u201d identifies Guan Yin Bodhisattva and Great Strength Bodhisattva as Amita Buddha\u2019s assistants in edifying all beings. Also, the tenth visualization of the \u201cVisualization of Seeing the Real Body of Guan Yin,\u201d explains that if a cultivator who attains the upper grade of lotus while he is passing away, he will see Amita Buddha, Guan Yin Bodhisattva, and Great Strength Bodhisattva appearing before him. Guan Yin Bodhisattva will hold a Golden Dais and stretch out a hand to receive him. Moreover, not only does Guan Yin Bodhisattva assist Amita Buddha to help living beings to be born in the Pure land, but also will be a Buddha who hosts theLandofUltimate Blissafter Amita Buddha entering Nirvana.<\/p>\n

\u9019\u6b21\u7684\u89c0\u97f3\u4e03\u662f\u4eca\u5e74\u8056\u57ce\u8209\u8fa6\u7684\u7b2c\u4e09\u6b21\uff0c\u4e5f\u662f\u4eca\u5e74\u6700\u5f8c\u4e00\u6b21\u3002\u5e0c\u671b\u5927\u5bb6\u73cd\u60dc\u9019\u96e3\u5f97\u4e4b\u56e0\u7de3\uff0c\u4e0d\u53ea\u662f\u70ba\u5e6b\u52a9\u81ea\u5df1\u7684\u6cd5\u8eab\uff0c\u66f4\u70ba\u773e\u751f\u7684\u5229\u76ca\u505a\u8457\u60f3\u3002<\/p>\n
