During the assembly, I met a laywoman from China. She shared that it is very difficult to find a monastery there that holds the Ten Thousand Buddhas Jeweled Repentance, so when she heard that the City of Ten Thousand Buddhas was hosting this Dharma Assembly, she specially traveled all the way to the United States to attend. This made me realize that encountering and bowing to the <em>Buddha Proclaims the Buudhas\u2019 Names Sutra<\/em> is truly not easy. It requires deep wholesome roots cultivated over countless lifetimes in order to encounter this sutra. Being able to bow in the solemn Buddha Hall, surrounded by the sound of Dharma filled my heart with gratitude.<\/p>\n\n\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>\u89aa\u5100\u5728\u79ae\u62dc\u300a\u4f5b\u8aaa\u4f5b\u540d\u7d93\u300b\u6642\uff0c\u8b80\u5230\u7d93\u6587\u4e2d\u6558\u8ff0\u8a31\u591a\u53d7\u6301\u4f5b\u540d\u865f\u7684\u6b8a\u52dd\u529f\u5fb7\uff0c\u6df1\u611f\u4e0d\u53ef\u601d\u8b70\uff0c\u4e5f\u70ba\u8af8\u4f5b\u5ee3\u5927\u7684\u6148\u60b2\u9858\u529b\u800c\u6b61\u559c\u8b9a\u6b4e\u3002\u53ea\u8981\u773e\u751f\u805e\u4f5b\u540d\u865f\u3001\u53d7\u6301\u79ae\u62dc\uff0c\u4fbf\u80fd\u7372\u5f97\u7a2e\u7a2e\u5229\u76ca\u3002\u8b6c\u5982\uff1a<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>\u300c\u5357\u7121\u7121\u908a\u7121\u57a2\u4f5b\uff1a\u82e5\u6709\u5584\u7537\u5b50\u3001\u5584\u5973\u4eba\uff0c\u805e\u6b64\u5982\u4f86\u540d\u8005\uff0c\u662f\u4eba\u975e\u65bc\u4e00\u4f5b\u6240\u7a2e\u8af8\u5584\u6839\uff0c\u4ea6\u975e\u5341\u4f5b\u6240\u7a2e\u8af8\u5584\u6839\uff0c\u662f\u4eba\u4e43\u65bc\u767e\u5343\u842c\u4f5b\u6240\u7a2e\u8af8\u5584\u6839\uff0c\u662f\u4eba\u8d85\u8d8a\u4e16\u9593\u56db\u5341\u516b\u52ab\u3002\u300d<\/strong><strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>\u300c\u5357\u7121\u5999\u8eab\u4f5b\uff1a\u82e5\u4eba\u805e\u5f7c\u4f5b\u540d\uff0c\u81f3\u5fc3\u656c\u79ae\uff0c\u8b80\u8aa6\u3001\u53d7\u6301\uff0c\u662f\u4eba\u6c7a\u5b9a\u9060\u96e2\u4e00\u5207\u8af8\u969c\uff0c\u4e0d\u5165\u60e1\u9053\uff0c\u8d85\u8d8a\u4e16\u9593\u7121\u91cf\u52ab\u3002\u300d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>\u5728\u7d93\u6587\u4e2d\u63d0\u5230\uff0c\u53ea\u8981\u805e\u4f5b\u540d\u865f\uff0c\u4fbf\u80fd\u4e0d\u58ae\u60e1\u9053\u3001\u7a2e\u4e0b\u7121\u91cf\u7121\u908a\u7684\u83e9\u63d0\u5584\u6839\u3001\u5f97\u963f\u8028\u591a\u7f85\u4e09\u85d0\u4e09\u83e9\u63d0\uff0c\u751a\u81f3\u8d85\u8d8a\u7121\u91cf\u52ab\u5f88\u9577\u7684\u6642\u9593\u3002\u9019\u4e9b\u7686\u662f\u8af8\u4f5b\u751a\u6df1\u4e0d\u53ef\u601d\u8b70\u7684\u529f\u5fb7\u3002\u6211\u5011\u4eca\u65e5\u80fd\u79ae\u62dc\u8af8\u4f5b\uff0c\u4e0d\u4f46\u80fd\u6d88\u9664\u7121\u91cf\u52ab\u4f86\u7684\u7f6a\u969c\uff0c\u66f4\u80fd\u6210\u5c31\u7121\u4e0a\u83e9\u63d0\u3002\u56e0\u6b64\uff0c\u4e0a\u4eba\u66fe\u5728\u958b\u793a\u4e2d\u63d0\u5230\uff1a\u300c\u904e\u53bb\u8af8\u4f5b\u62dc\u300a\u842c\u4f5b\u61fa\u300b\uff0c\u73fe\u5728\u8af8\u4f5b\u62dc\u300a\u842c\u4f5b\u61fa\u300b\uff0c\u672a\u4f86\u8af8\u4f5b\u4e5f\u90fd\u662f\u62dc\u300a\u842c\u4f5b\u61fa\u300b\u800c\u6210\u5c31\u7684\u3002\u300d\u300a\u842c\u4f5b\u61fa\u300b\u7684\u529b\u91cf\uff0c\u5be6\u5728\u4e0d\u53ef\u601d\u8b70\u3002<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">While bowing to the <em>Buddha Proclaims the Buudhas\u2019 Names Sutra<\/em>, I read passages describing the inconceivable merit and virtue gained from upholding the Buddhas\u2019 names. I deeply felt how extraordinary these teachings are, I truly rejoiced in and praised the vast compassionate vows of all Buddhas. Simply by hearing the Buddhas\u2019 names, receiving and upholding them, and bowing in reverence, living beings can obtain many kinds of benefits. For example:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cNamo Boundless and Without Defilement Buddha: If a good man or good woman hears the name of this Thus Come One, that person has not merely planted good roots before one Buddha, nor merely before ten Buddhas, but has planted good roots before hundreds of thousands of myriads of Buddhas. That person transcends forty-eight kalpas of worldly existence.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cNamo Wonderful Body Buddha: If a person hears that Buddha\u2019s name and, with utmost sincerity, reverently bows, recites, and upholds it, that person will definitely leave all obstacles far behind, will not enter the evil paths, and will transcend measureless kalpas of worldly existence.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The sutra states that merely hearing the Buddhas\u2019 names enables one to avoid the evil destinies, plant limitless Bodhi good roots, attain <em>Anuttarasamyaksambodhi<\/em>, and even transcend measureless kalpas. All these are the profound and inconceivable merits and virtues of the Buddhas. By bowing to the Buddhas, not only can we eradicate karmic offenses accumulated throughout measureless kalpas, but we can also accomplish unsurpassed Bodhi. Therefore, the Venerable Master once said in a Dharma talk: \u201cThe Buddhas of the past bowed the Ten Thousand Buddhas Repentance; the Buddhas of the present bow the Ten Thousand Buddhas Repentance; the Buddhas of the future also accomplish Buddhahood through bowing the Ten Thousand Buddhas Repentance.\u201d The power of this Repentance is truly inconceivable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>\u5728\u61fa\u672c\u4e2d\uff0c\u6703\u6a19\u793a\u5df2\u79ae\u62dc\u591a\u5c11\u5c0a\u4f5b\u3002\u96d6\u7136\u6574\u90e8\u7d93\u5171\u8a08\u4e00\u842c\u4e00\u5343\u62dc\uff0c\u4f46\u5927\u5bb6\u662f\u5426\u66fe\u60f3\u904e\uff0c\u7d93\u4e2d\u662f\u5426\u53ea\u6709\u4e00\u842c\u4e00\u5343\u5c0a\u4f5b\uff1f\u800c\u4e14\u662f\u5426\u6bcf\u4e00\u62dc\u53ea\u79ae\u4e00\u5c0a\u4f5b\u5462\uff1f<\/strong><strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>\u89aa\u5100\u5728\u79ae\u62dc\u6642\uff0c\u767c\u73fe\u5be6\u969b\u6240\u79ae\u62dc\u7684\u4f5b\uff0c\u9060\u9060\u8d85\u904e\u9019\u500b\u6578\u5b57\u3002\u4e0d\u77e5\u5927\u5bb6\u662f\u5426\u6ce8\u610f\u5230\uff0c\u7d93\u6587\u4e2d\u6709\u8a31\u591a\u300c\u540c\u540d\u4f5b\u300d\uff1f\u4f8b\u5982\uff1a\u300c\u5357\u7121\u516b\u5341\u5343\u5104\u540c\u540d\u7136\u71c8\u4f5b\u300d\u3001\u300c\u5357\u7121\u516b\u5341\u5104\u90a3\u7531\u4ed6\u540c\u540d\u91cb\u8fe6\u725f\u5c3c\u4f5b\u300d\u3001\u300c\u5357\u7121\u4e00\u842c\u516b\u5343\u540c\u540d\u5a11\u7f85\u738b\u4f5b\u300d\u7b49\u7b49\u3002\u6709\u6642\u4e00\u62dc\u4e4b\u4e2d\uff0c\u5be6\u969b\u662f\u5728\u79ae\u656c\u7121\u91cf\u7121\u908a\u7684\u540c\u540d\u8af8\u4f5b\u3002\u51e1\u540c\u540d\u4f5b\uff0c\u6211\u5011\u7686\u4e00\u5fc3\u606d\u656c\u9802\u79ae\u3002<\/strong><strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>\u66f4\u4ee4\u89aa\u5100\u8b9a\u6b4e\u7684\u662f\uff0c\u91cb\u8fe6\u725f\u5c3c\u4f5b\u5728\u5ba3\u8aaa\u9019\u90e8\u7d93\u4e2d\u7684\u4f5b\u540d\u6642\uff0c\u65e9\u5df2\u660e\u4e86\u6709\u591a\u5c11\u540c\u540d\u4f5b\uff0c\u4e26\u80fd\u4e00\u4e00\u5ba3\u8aaa\uff1a\u300c\u5341\u516b\u5104\u540c\u540d\u65e5\u6708\u71c8\u4f5b\u300d\u3001\u300c\u5341\u5343\u540c\u540d\u6eff\u8db3\u4f5b\u300d\u7b49\u7b49\u3002\u4f5b\u9640\u7121\u9700\u9760\u4efb\u4f55\u8a08\u7b97\u5de5\u5177\uff0c\u4e5f\u7121\u9700\u4f9d\u9760\u4efb\u4f55\u79d1\u6280\u6216\u4eba\u5de5\u667a\u80fd\uff0c\u5168\u7136\u662f\u7121\u4e0a\u667a\u6167\u5f9e\u81ea\u6027\u81ea\u7136\u6d41\u9732\u3002\u82e5\u6709\u4eba\u554f\u6211\uff0c\u5728\u8056\u57ce\u88e1\uff0c\u6709\u591a\u5c11\u4eba\u540c\u540d<\/strong><strong>\u53eb\u9ea5\u53ef<\/strong><strong>\u6216<\/strong><strong>\u53eb\u827e\u7c73<\/strong><strong>\uff0c\u6211\u53ef\u80fd\u90fd\u7121\u6cd5\u56de\u7b54\uff1b\u66f4\u4f55\u6cc1\u662f\u7121\u91cf\u7121\u908a\u6046\u6cb3\u6c99\u4e16\u754c\u4e2d\u7684\u8af8\u4f5b\u540d\u865f\uff0c\u800c\u4f5b\u9640\u6089\u77e5\u6089\u898b\u3002<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Within the repentance text, the number of Buddhas were indicated. Although the entire sutra contains a total of eleven thousand bows, have we ever considered whether the sutra contains only eleven thousand Buddhas? Does each bow pay homage to only one Buddha?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">While bowing, I realized that the actual number of Buddhas being bowed to, far exceeds this number. I wonder whether someone noticed that throughout the sutra there are many \u201cBuddhas of the same name\u201d?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For example: \u201cNamo Eighty Thousand Kotis of Buddhas with the Same Name, Burning Lamp Buddha,\u201d \u201cNamo Eighty Nayutas of Buddhas with the Same Name, Shakyamuni Buddha,\u201d or \u201cNamo Eighteen Thousand Buddhas with the Same Name, Sala King Buddha.\u201d At times, within a single bow, we actually paying reverence to immeasurable and boundless Buddhas of the same name. For all Buddhas sharing the same name, we single-mindedly and respectfully bow in homage to them all.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">What made me even more worthy of praise is that, when Shakyamuni Buddha proclaimed the names of the Buddhas in this sutra, he already knew exactly how many Buddhas shared each name and was able to proclaim them one by one: like \u201cEighteen Kotis of Buddhas with the Same Name, Sun-Moon-Lamp Buddha,\u201d \u201cTen Thousand Buddhas with the Same Name, Fulfillment Buddha,\u201d and so forth. The Buddha does not need any calculating devices, nor any technology nor AI. This was entirely the natural outflow of unsurpassed wisdom from his own self-nature. If someone were to ask me how many people at the CTTB share the same name, called Michael or called Amy, I probably could not answer. How much less could one know the names of all Buddhas throughout limitless worlds as numerous as the Ganges\u2019 sands? Yet the Buddha knows and sees them all completely.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>\u63a5\u4e0b\u4f86<\/strong><strong>\uff0c<\/strong><strong>\u60f3\u5206\u4eab<\/strong><strong>\u89aa\u5100\u62dc\u61fa\u6642\u7684<\/strong><strong>\u9ad4\u6703\u3002\u7d93\u4e2d\u63d0\u5230\u5982\u6b64\u591a\u7684\u4f5b\u540d\uff0c\u7136\u800c\u81ea\u5df1\u537b\u751f\u65bc\u672b\u6cd5\u6642\u4ee3\uff0c\u7121\u7de3\u89aa\u805e\u4f5b\u9640\u8aaa\u6cd5\uff0c\u6df1\u611f\u798f\u5fb7\u4e0d\u8db3\uff0c\u56e0\u6b64\u4e5f\u61fa\u6094\u81ea\u5df1\u751f\u65bc\u4f5b\u524d\u4f5b\u5f8c\u3002<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Next, I would like to share some reflections regarding repentance. The sutra mentions so many Buddhas\u2019 names, yet I myself was born in the Dharma-Ending Age and lack the blessings to personally hear the Buddha speak the Dharma. Because of this, I deeply repent for having been born before or after the Buddha\u2019s time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>\u5728\u62dc\u61fa\u671f\u9593\uff0c\u4e0d\u77e5\u5927\u5bb6\u662f\u5426\u6703\u7d93\u6b77\u8a31\u591a\u8ff4\u5149\u8fd4\u7167\u3001\u81ea\u6211\u89c0\u7167\u7684\u904e\u7a0b\uff1f\u5f1f\u5b50\u89aa\u5100\u5f88\u615a\u6127\u3001\u4e5f\u8aa0\u5fc3\u61fa\u6094\uff0c\u767c\u73fe\u81ea\u5df1\u7d93\u5e38\u7f3a\u4e4f\u667a\u6167\uff0c\u88ab\u7121\u660e\u6240\u8986\uff0c\u4e0d\u660e\u8af8\u6cd5\u672c\u6027\u7a7a\u5bc2\uff1b\u66fe\u8aaa\u904e\u50b7\u4eba\u7684\u8a71\uff0c\u4e5f\u505a\u904e\u5c0d\u4e0d\u8d77\u4ed6\u4eba\u7684\u4e8b\uff0c\u751a\u81f3\u50b7\u5bb3\u904e\u8a31\u591a\u773e\u751f\u3002\u9019\u4e9b\u5f80\u4e8b\uff0c\u5728\u62dc\u61fa\u6642\u5f9e\u81ea\u5df1\u7684\u7b2c\u516b\u8b58\u7530\u4e2d\u4e00\u4e00\u6d6e\u73fe\uff0c\u5982\u540c\u64ad\u653e\u5f71\u7247\u822c\u6b77\u6b77\u5728\u76ee\u3002\u8d77\u521d\uff0c\u5167\u5fc3\u6703\u96a8\u8457\u9019\u4e9b\u56de\u653e\u751f\u8d77\u61a4\u6012\u8207\u6028\u6c23\uff0c\u5f77\u5f7f\u518d\u6b21\u91cd\u8d70\u904e\u53bb\u7684\u60c5\u5883\uff1b\u4f46\u6f38\u6f38\u5730\uff0c\u4e5f\u958b\u59cb\u751f\u8d77\u6127\u759a\u8207\u60b2\u50b7\u3002<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">During the repentance session, I wonder whether everyone also experienced many moments of introspection and self-reflection. I felt deeply ashamed and sincerely repent that I truly lack of wisdom and am often deluded by ignorance, failing to understand that the nature of all dharmas is originally empty and still. I have spoken words that hurt others, done things that wronged others, and even harmed many living beings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">These past events surfaced one by one from the field of my eighth consciousness, appearing vividly like scenes replaying from a film. At first, anger and resentment would arise in my mind as these memories replayed, as though I were reliving those past situations once again. Gradually, feelings of guilt and sorrow also began to arise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>\u6240\u8b02\u81ea\u6211\u53cd\u7701\uff0c\u672c\u662f\u7f8e\u5fb7\uff1b\u7136\u800c\u82e5\u5982\u81ea\u5df1\u4e00\u822c\u9677\u5165\u904e\u5ea6\u53cd\u601d\uff0c\u537b\u5bb9\u6613\u6f14\u8b8a\u6210\u904e\u5ea6\u7684\u81ea\u6211\u82db\u8cac\uff0c\u6700\u7d42\u6210\u70ba\u675f\u7e1b\u5167\u5fc3\u7684\u4e00\u9053\u67b7\u9396\u3002\u4f5b\u6cd5\u7a31\u9019\u7a2e\u72c0\u614b\u70ba\u300c\u5fc3\u5ff5\u5916\u99b3\u300d\uff0c\u4e5f\u5c31\u662f\u5fc3\u8b58\u96e2\u958b\u7576\u4e0b\u7684\u6e05\u660e\uff0c\u8dd1\u5230\u4e00\u500b\u865b\u5e7b\u7684\u904e\u53bb\u6642\u7a7a\u88e1\u53bb\u6253\u8f49\u3002\u90a3\u6bb5\u6642\u9593\u88e1\uff0c\u6211\u5f77\u5f7f\u88ab\u56f0\u5728\u904e\u53bb\uff0c\u4e0d\u65b7\u91cd\u770b\u75db\u82e6\u7684\u820a\u9304\u5f71\u5e36\uff0c\u537b\u5fd8\u5931\u4e86\u7576\u4e0b\u7684\u4e00\u5ff5\u5fc3\u3002<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Self-reflection is originally a virtue. However, if one falls into excessive self-reflection as I did, it can easily turn into excessive self-condemnation and ultimately become a set of shackles (shakels) binding the mind. Buddhism refers this state as \u201cthe mind chasing outward conditions,\u201d meaning that the mind-consciousness departs from present clarity and revolves endlessly within an illusory past. During that period, I felt trapped in the past, repeatedly replaying the painful old recordings while losing touch with the present thought of mind.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>\u5f8c\u4f86\uff0c\u611f\u6069\u773e\u591a\u6cd5\u5e2b\u5011\u5728\u842c\u4f5b\u61fa\u671f\u9593\u7684\u958b\u793a\uff0c\u8b1b\u89e3\u61fa\u6094\u6cd5\u9580\u7684\u7fa9\u7406\uff0c\u5c0d\u89aa\u5100\u4f86\u8aaa\u5982\u7576\u982d\u68d2\u559d\u3002\u6211\u5011\u7e3d\u662f\u5728\u5be9\u5224\u904e\u53bb\u7684\u81ea\u5df1\uff0c\u537b\u5fd8\u4e86\u7576\u4e0b\u7684\u81ea\u5df1\uff0c\u4f9d\u7136\u6709\u80fd\u529b\u6539\u904e\u5411\u5584\uff0c\u91cd\u65b0\u505a\u500b\u597d\u4eba\u3002\u82e5\u80fd\u4ed4\u7d30\u89c0\u5bdf\u554f\u984c\u7684\u6839\u6e90\u3001\u627f\u64d4\u8cac\u4efb\uff0c\u7136\u5f8c\u7e7c\u7e8c\u5411\u524d\u8d70\uff0c\u9019\u4fbf\u662f\u6b63\u78ba\u7684\u65b9\u5411\u3002\u516d\u7956\u60e0\u80fd\u5927\u5e2b\u66fe\u958b\u793a\uff0c\u61fa\u6094\u7684\u76ee\u7684\u4e0d\u662f\u9003\u907f\u3002\u5b83\u4e0d\u662f\u85c9\u53e3\uff0c\u800c\u662f\u89ba\u9192\uff0c\u662f\u6539\u904e\uff0c\u662f\u8b93\u6211\u5011\u770b\u6e05\u81ea\u5df1\u7684\u60e1\u5ff5\uff0c\u6d88\u9664\u81ea\u5df1\u7684\u696d\u969c\uff0c\u5f9e\u6b64\u4e4b\u5f8c\uff0c\u4e0d\u518d\u91cd\u8e48\u8986\u8f4d\uff0c\u4e0d\u518d\u640d\u5bb3\u4ed6\u4eba\u8207\u81ea\u5df1\u3002\u9019\u4fbf\u662f\u300c\u61fa\u5176\u524d\u6106\uff0c\u6094\u5176\u5f8c\u904e\uff0c\u66f4\u4e0d\u5fa9\u4f5c\u300d\u7684\u771f\u6b63\u6db5\u7fa9\u3002<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Later, I was deeply grateful for all the Dharma Masters\u2019 instructional talks during the Ten Thousand Buddhas Repentance regarding the teachings toward the practice of repentance. To me, their words were like a blow that awakened me from confusion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We are always judging our past selves, yet we forget that our present selves still possess the ability to reform and become good people once again. If we can carefully examine the root of our problems, take responsibility, and then continue moving forward, that is the proper direction. The Sixth Patriarch, Great Master Huineng, taught that the purpose of repentance is not escape. It is not an excuse, but an awakening; not avoidance, but reform. It allows us to clearly recognize our evil thoughts, eradicate our karmic obstacles, and from that point onward refrain from repeating the same mistakes or harming others and ourselves again. This is the true meaning of repentance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>\u771f\u6b63\u7684\u61fa\u6094\uff0c\u662f\u4e00\u6b21\u6df1\u523b\u7684\u89ba\u9192\uff0c\u4e5f\u662f\u4e00\u751f\u6301\u7e8c\u7684\u5be6\u8e10<\/strong><strong>\u3002<\/strong><strong>\u61fa\u6094\u4e0d\u662f\u300c\u6d17\u767d\u300d\u81ea\u5df1\uff0c\u800c\u662f\u300c\u6de8\u5316\u300d\u81ea\u5df1\uff1b\u4e0d\u662f\u70ba\u4e86\u7d66\u81ea\u5df1\u4e00\u500b\u91cd\u65b0\u958b\u59cb\u7684\u85c9\u53e3\uff0c\u800c\u662f\u771f\u6b63\u8e0f\u4e0a\u91cd\u65b0\u958b\u59cb\u7684\u884c\u52d5\u3002\u82e5\u5c07\u61fa\u6094\u8b8a\u6210\u81ea\u6211\u6298\u78e8\uff0c\u53cd\u800c\u6703\u8b93\u81ea\u5df1\u9677\u5165\u66f4\u6df1\u7684\u6127\u759a\u8207\u5167\u8017\u4e4b\u4e2d\u3002\u6bd4\u4e18\u8fd1\u50b3\u6cd5\u5e2b\u66fe\u7d93\u958b\u793a\u904e\uff1a\u7576\u696d\u529b\u7a2e\u5b50\u73fe\u524d\u6642\uff0c\u82e5\u6211\u5011\u53c8\u5c0d\u5883\u751f\u8d77\u5206\u5225\u8207\u5c0d\u5f85\uff0c\u4fbf\u7b49\u65bc\u518d\u6b21\u7a2e\u4e0b\u65b0\u7684\u4e0d\u5584\u7a2e\u5b50\u56de\u5230\u516b\u8b58\u7530\u4e2d\uff0c\u5982\u6b64\u5faa\u74b0\u4e0d\u5df2\uff0c\u4fbf\u6c38\u9060\u7121\u6cd5\u771f\u6b63\u5f97\u5230\u5b89\u7a69\u8207\u81ea\u5728\u3002<\/strong><strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">True repentance is a profound awakening and also a lifelong practice. Repentance is not about \u201cwhitewashing\u201d oneself, but about purifying oneself; not about finding an excuse to start over, but about truly embarking upon the actions of a new beginning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If repentance becomes self-torment, it will instead cause us to sink more deeply into guilt and internal suffering. Dharma Master Jin Chuan once taught, when our karmic seeds manifest, if we again give rise to discrimination and attachment toward the states, this is equivalent to planting new unwholesome seeds back into the field of the eighth consciousness. In this endless cycle, we will never truly attain peace and ease.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>\u4f5b\u6559\u4e2d\u7121\u8ad6\u4fee\u6301\u54ea\u4e00\u7a2e\u6cd5\u9580\uff0c\u5305\u62ec\u62dc\u4f5b\u61fa\u6094\uff0c\u5176\u95dc\u9375\u76ee\u7684\u662f\u7232\u4e86\u5e6b\u52a9\u6211\u5011\u300c\u660e\u5fc3\u898b\u6027\u300d\uff0c\u8a8d\u8b58\u81ea\u5df1\u7684\u672c\u5fc3\uff1b\u662f\u70ba\u4e86\u6d88\u9664\u5167\u5fc3\u7684\u5984\u5ff5\uff0c\u800c\u4e0d\u662f\u57f7\u8457\u65bc\u904e\u5f80\u3002\u7f6a\u969c\u7684\u6839\u6e90\uff0c\u5728\u65bc\u5167\u5fc3\u7684\u5984\u5ff5\u8207\u57f7\u8457\uff1b\u53ea\u8981\u653e\u4e0b\u4e86\u5984\u5ff5\u8207\u57f7\u8457\uff0c\u7f6a\u969c\u81ea\u7136\u4fbf\u80fd\u6d88\u878d\u3002\u66f4\u6df1\u5165\u800c\u8a00\uff0c\u4e16\u9593\u6240\u6709\u7684\u7f6a\u696d\uff0c\u5f9e\u4f86\u4e0d\u662f\u5f9e\u5916\u754c\u800c\u4f86\uff0c\u800c\u662f\u5f9e\u6211\u5011\u81ea\u5df1\u7684\u5167\u5fc3\u4e4b\u4e2d\u7522\u751f\u7684\u3002\u6240\u6709\u7684\u932f\u8aa4\u8207\u50b7\u5bb3\uff0c\u6839\u6e90\u90fd\u4e0d\u662f\u5916\u5728\u7684\u74b0\u5883\u8207\u4ed6\u4eba\uff0c\u800c\u662f\u6211\u5011\u5167\u5fc3\u7684\u5984\u5ff5\u8207\u57f7\u8457\u3002<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>\u4ec0\u9ebc\u662f\u300c\u5984\u5ff5\u300d\uff1f\u5984\u5ff5\uff0c\u5c31\u662f\u504f\u96e2\u81ea\u6027\u6e05\u6de8\u672c\u8cea\u7684\u5ff5\u982d\uff0c\u4f8b\u5982\u8caa\u3001\u778b\u3001\u7661\u3001\u6162\u3001\u7591\u7b49\u3002\u6211\u5011\u8caa\u6c42\u8ca1\u5bcc\u3001\u540d\u8072\u3001\u7f8e\u8272\u3001\u4eab\u53d7\uff0c\u662f\u5984\u5ff5\uff1b\u5fc3\u751f\u61a4\u6012\u3001\u6028\u6068\u3001\u5ac9\u5992\uff0c\u662f\u5984\u5ff5\uff1b\u57f7\u8ff7\u65bc\u865b\u5984\u7684\u8868\u76f8\u3001\u770b\u4e0d\u6e05\u4e8b\u7269\u7684\u672c\u8cea\uff0c\u662f\u5984\u5ff5\uff1b\u9a55\u6162\u81ea\u6eff\u3001\u8f15\u8996\u4ed6\u4eba\uff0c\u540c\u6a23\u4e5f\u662f\u5984\u5ff5\u3002<\/strong><strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>\u4ec0\u9ebc\u662f\u300c\u57f7\u8457\u300d\uff1f\u57f7\u8457\uff0c\u5c31\u662f\u5c0d\u5916\u5883\u8207\u5167\u5fc3\u72c0\u614b\u7522\u751f\u904e\u5ea6\u9ecf\u8457\u8207\u5206\u5225\u3002\u57f7\u8457\u65bc\u81ea\u5df1\u7684\u932f\u8aa4\uff0c\u9577\u4e45\u9677\u65bc\u6127\u759a\u7121\u6cd5\u81ea\u62d4\uff0c\u662f\u57f7\u8457\uff1b\u57f7\u8457\u65bc\u4ed6\u4eba\u7684\u50b7\u5bb3\uff0c\u5fc3\u751f\u6028\u6068\u7121\u6cd5\u653e\u4e0b\uff0c\u662f\u57f7\u8457\uff1b\u57f7\u8457\u540d\u8072\u5229\u76ca\uff0c\u4e0d\u60dc\u640d\u4eba\u5229\u5df1\uff0c\u662f\u57f7\u8457\uff1b\u57f7\u8457\u65bc\u5f62\u5f0f\u5316\u7684\u61fa\u6094\uff0c\u800c\u5ffd\u7565\u5167\u5fc3\u771f\u6b63\u7684\u6539\u904e\uff0c\u540c\u6a23\u4e5f\u662f\u57f7\u8457\u3002<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>\u4f8b\u5982\uff0c\u4e00\u500b\u4eba\u4e4b\u6240\u4ee5\u6703\u50b7\u5bb3\u4ed6\u4eba\uff0c\u6839\u6e90\u4e26\u975e\u56e0\u70ba\u5c0d\u65b9\u4e0d\u597d\uff0c\u800c\u662f\u56e0\u70ba\u4ed6\u5167\u5fc3\u751f\u8d77\u61a4\u6012\u8207\u6028\u6068\uff0c\u57f7\u8457\u65bc\u4ed6\u4eba\u7684\u904e\u5931\uff0c\u65bc\u662f\u8aaa\u51fa\u50b7\u4eba\u7684\u8a71\u6216\u505a\u51fa\u50b7\u5bb3\u4ed6\u4eba\u7684\u884c\u70ba\u3002<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Regardless of which Dharma-door one cultivates in Buddhism, including bowing to the Buddhas and repenting, the essential purpose is to help us \u201cunderstand the mind and see the nature,\u201d to recognize our original mind. It is meant to eliminate the evil thoughts within the mind, not to cling to the past. The root of karmic obstacles lies in false thoughts and attachments within the mind. Once false thoughts and attachments are let go, karmic obstacles naturally dissolve. More deeply speaking, all offenses and karmic evils in the world never come from outside; they arise from our own minds. The source of all mistakes and harm is not external circumstances or other people, but rather the false thoughts and attachments within our own minds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">What are \u201cfalse thoughts\u201d? False thoughts are thoughts that deviate from the pure nature of the self-nature, such as greed, hatred, stupidity, arrogance, and doubt. Craving wealth, fame, beauty, and pleasure are false thoughts. Giving rise to anger, resentment, and jealousy are false thoughts. Becoming deluded by illusory appearances and failing to see the true nature of things are false thoughts. Arrogance and looking down upon others are likewise false thoughts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">What is \u201cattachment\u201d? Attachment is excessive clinging and discrimination toward external states and inner mental conditions. Clinging to one\u2019s own mistakes and remaining trapped in guilt for a long time is attachment. Clinging to harm done by others and being unable to let go of resentment is attachment. Clinging to fame and profit to the extent of harming others for one\u2019s own benefit is attachment. Clinging to formalistic repentance while neglecting genuine inner reform is also attachment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For example, when someone hurts another person, the root cause is not necessarily because the other person is bad, but because anger and resentment have arisen within that person\u2019s mind, along with attachment to the faults of others, they end up saying or doing things that hurt others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>\u56e0\u6b64\uff0c\u61fa\u6094\u9996\u5148\u8981\u505a\u7684\uff0c\u4fbf\u662f\u89ba\u5bdf\u81ea\u5df1\u7684\u5167\u5fc3\uff0c\u770b\u6e05\u81ea\u5df1\u7684\u5984\u5ff5\u8207\u57f7\u8457\u3002\u5148\u63a5\u7d0d\u81ea\u5df1\u66fe\u72af\u4e0b\u7684\u932f\u8aa4\uff0c\u552f\u6709\u770b\u6e05\u4e86\u6839\u6e90\uff0c\u624d\u80fd\u771f\u6b63\u627e\u5230\u89e3\u6c7a\u65b9\u6cd5\uff1b\u552f\u6709\u63a5\u7d0d\u4e86\u81ea\u5df1\uff0c\u624d\u80fd\u771f\u6b63\u8207\u81ea\u5df1\u548c\u89e3\u3002\u65e2\u7136\u300c\u7f6a\u5f9e\u5fc3\u8d77\u300d\uff0c\u81ea\u7136\u4e5f\u80fd\u300c\u7f6a\u5f9e\u5fc3\u6ec5\u300d\u3002\u4e00\u5207\u60e1\u696d\uff0c\u4e26\u975e\u55ae\u9760\u5916\u5728\u7684\u5f62\u5f0f\u4f86\u62b5\u6d88\uff0c\u4e5f\u4e0d\u662f\u4f9d\u9760\u4ed6\u4eba\u7684\u539f\u8ad2\u4fbf\u53ef\u89e3\u812b\uff0c\u800c\u662f\u6211\u5011\u9700\u61c2\u5f97\u5bdf\u89ba\u81ea\u5df1\u7684\u5167\u5fc3\uff0c\u61c2\u5f97\u653e\u4e0b\u81ea\u8eab\u7684\u5984\u5ff5\u8207\u57f7\u8457\uff0c\u4e26\u4e3b\u52d5\u6539\u904e\u81ea\u65b0\uff0c\u7f6a\u969c\u624d\u6703\u9010\u6f38\u6d88\u878d\u3002\u6052\u8208\u6cd5\u5e2b\u4e5f\u66fe\u958b\u793a\u904e\uff0c\u300a\u5713\u89ba\u7d93\u300b\u4e0a\u8aaa\uff1a\u300c\u77e5\u5e7b\u5373\u96e2\uff1b\u96e2\u5e7b\u5373\u89ba\u300d\u3002\u82e5\u96e2\u4e0d\u4e86\u9019\u4e9b\u5984\u5ff5\u8207\u57f7\u8457\uff0c\u81ea\u5df1\u5c31\u8ddf\u81ea\u5df1\u904e\u4e0d\u53bb\u54af~ \u4f55\u82e6\u5462\uff1f<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Therefore, the first thing repentance requires is to observe our own mind and clearly recognize our false thoughts and attachments. We must first accept the mistakes we have made. Only by seeing the root clearly then we will be able to find a solution. Only by accepting ourselves, then we can truly reconcile with ourselves.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Since \u201coffenses arise from the mind,\u201d naturally \u201coffenses are extinguished from the mind as well.\u201d All evil karma cannot be erased merely through external forms, nor can liberation be achieved simply through the forgiveness of others. Rather, we must learn to observe our own minds, let go of our false thoughts and attachments, and actively reform ourselves. Only then will karmic obstacles gradually dissolve.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Dharma Master Heng Hing also once quoted from the <em>Perfect Enlightenment Sutra<\/em>: \u201cWhen one recognizes illusion, one can immediately leave it behind. Once illusion is left behind, enlightenment is attained.\u201d If I cannot let go, then I am simply making things difficult for myself. So why put myself through so much suffering?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>\u56e0\u6b64\uff0c\u89aa\u5100\u5728\u6b64\u6b21\u62dc\u61fa\u6700\u5927\u7684\u611f\u609f\uff0c\u662f\u82e5\u80fd\u771f\u6b63\u505a\u5230\u300c\u89ba\u9192\u300d\u8207\u300c\u6539\u904e\u300d\uff0c\u6216\u8a31\u4fbf\u80fd\u9010\u6b65\u300c\u7f6a\u5f9e\u5fc3\u6ec5\u300d\uff0c\u5f9e\u4e2d\u7372\u5f97\u771f\u6b63\u7684\u89e3\u812b\u3002\u5177\u9ad4\u4f86\u8aac\uff0c\u5c31\u662f\u5169\u9ede\uff1a<\/strong><strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>\u7b2c\u4e00\u662f\u300c\u89ba\u5bdf\u300d<\/strong><strong>\u2014\u2014<\/strong><strong>\u6642\u6642\u89c0\u7167\u81ea\u5df1\u7684\u8d77\u5fc3\u52d5\u5ff5\uff0c\u4e00\u65e6\u767c\u73fe\u5984\u5ff5\u8207\u60e1\u5ff5\u751f\u8d77\uff0c\u4fbf\u53ca\u6642\u89ba\u77e5\u3001\u53ca\u6642\u8b66\u9192\uff0c\u4e0d\u8b93\u4ed6\u5011\u7e7c\u7e8c\u8513\u5ef6\u3002<\/strong><strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>\u7b2c\u4e8c\u662f\u300c\u6539\u904e\u300d<\/strong><strong>\u2014\u2014<\/strong><strong>\u7576\u610f\u8b58\u5230\u81ea\u5df1\u7684\u932f\u8aa4\u6642\uff0c\u9858\u610f\u771f\u6b63\u4fee\u6b63\u81ea\u5df1\uff0c\u4e0d\u518d\u91cd\u8e48\u8986\u8f4d\uff0c\u4ee5\u5584\u5ff5\u4ee3\u66ff\u60e1\u5ff5\uff0c\u4ee5\u5584\u884c\u4ee3\u66ff\u60e1\u884c\u3002<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Therefore, my greatest learning during this repentance session was that if we can truly accomplish \u201cawakening\u201d and \u201creform,\u201d perhaps we could gradually reach the state in which \u201coffenses are extinguished from the mind,\u201d thereby obtaining genuine liberation. More specifically, this involves two points:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The first is \u201cawareness\u201d\u2014by constantly observing our thoughts and intentions. Once false thoughts or evil thoughts arise, immediately recognize them and remain vigilant, never allowing them to spread.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The second is \u201creform\u201d\u2014when we are aware of our mistakes, we should genuinely be willing to correct ourselves, refrain from repeating those mistakes, replace unwholesome thoughts &amp; actions with wholesome thoughts and actions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>\u611f\u6069\u62dc\u61fa\u671f\u9593\u6cd5\u5e2b\u5011\u7684\u6148\u60b2\u958b\u793a\u8207\u5f15\u5c0e\uff0c\u8b93\u81ea\u5df1\u5728\u62dc\u61fa\u6642\u6709\u4e86\u66f4\u6df1\u7684\u7406\u89e3\uff0c\u4e5f\u80fd\u65bc\u7576\u4e0b\u53d7\u7528\u3002\u5f8c\u4f86\u5728\u62dc\u4f5b\u6642\uff0c\u96d6\u7136\u5f80\u6614\u7a2e\u7a2e\u4ecd\u6703\u6b77\u6b77\u5728\u76ee\uff0c\u6700\u5f8c\u60f3\u660e\u767d\u4e86\uff0c\u5b78\u8457\u63a5\u53d7\u81ea\u5df1\u66fe\u7d93\u72af\u4e0b\u7684\u932f\u8aa4\uff0c\u4e5f\u63d0\u9192\u81ea\u5df1\u672a\u4f86\u4e0d\u518d\u91cd\u72af\uff0c\u540c\u6642\u4e0d\u518d\u88ab\u9019\u4e9b\u56de\u653e\u727d\u52d5\u8457\u60c5\u7dd2\u3002\u7576\u5ff5\u982d\u751f\u8d77\u6642\uff0c\u53ea\u8981\u89ba\u5bdf\u5230\uff0c\u8b93\u5b83\u81ea\u7136\u6d41\u904e\u5373\u53ef\u3002\u53ea\u7ba1\u4e00\u5fc3\u5c08\u6ce8\u62dc\u4f5b\uff0c\u628a\u5fc3\u5f9e\u904e\u53bb\u7684\u6f29\u6e26\u4e2d\u5e36\u56de\u7576\u4e0b\uff0c\u771f\u5be6\u5730\u61fa\u6094\uff0c\u7136\u5f8c\u91cd\u65b0\u7ad9\u8d77\u4f86\u7e7c\u7e8c\u5411\u524d\u8d70\u3002\u6b64\u6642\uff0c\u4fbf\u80fd\u6d3b\u5728\u90a3\u4efd\u6a38\u5be6\u7684\u89ba\u77e5\u4e2d\uff0c\u5167\u5fc3\u4e5f\u66f4\u52a0\u6e05\u660e\u81ea\u5728\u3002<a><\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I am deeply grateful for the compassionate teachings and guidance from the Dharma Masters during the repentance session. Their instructional talks gave me a deeper understanding of the practice and allowed me to truly benefit from it in the present moment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Later, while bowing to the Buddhas, although many scenes from the past still appeared vividly in my mind, I gradually came to an understanding. I learned to accept the mistakes I had made and reminded myself not to repeat them in the future, while no longer allowing those memories to stir up my emotions. When thoughts arise, I practice by simply noticing them and letting them pass naturally.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Afterwards, I tried to focus wholeheartedly on bowing to the Buddhas, bringing my mind back from the whirlpool of the past into the present moment, sincerely repenting, and then standing up again to continue moving forward.
