比丘尼恒揚法師2024年10月22日晚間講於萬佛聖城大殿

阿彌陀佛，諸佛菩薩、師父上人、各位尊敬的法師、居士們，大家阿彌陀佛。 今天是恒揚在這裡跟大家結法緣。我十歲的時候學佛，第一個學佛的地方是一個佛教會，是居士辦的佛教會。 那個佛教會供奉觀世音菩薩。我在那邊學佛十一年後，二十一歲就跟隨上人出家。

All Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, Venerable Master, all Dharma Masters, all good-knowing advisors, and all laypeople, Amitabha. This is Heng Yang, and today it’s my turn to tie Dharma affinities with everyone. I started learning Buddhism when I was 10 years old, and at that time, I participated in a layperson’s Buddhist society, Proper Faith Society. This society specifically honored and respected Guanyin Bodhisattva. I was part of that society for eleven years until I was 21 years old, and then I followed the Venerable Master and left home under him.

金佛寺是文殊菩薩的道場，對我來說，是個有法有食的地方，法緣興盛。每週五的網路佛學課程,華屋三探。取《楞嚴經》裡的“忽蒙天王，賜與華屋；雖獲大宅，要因門入”。下半年主要是禪修的課程。

My name is Natividad Familia Pereyra (which means Family and Christmas) But my Dharma name is Jin Ren (Patience) I was born in a small country in the Caribbean islands called the Dominican Republic. (This country is near Cuba and Puerto Rico, we share the island with Haiti.)

My name is Sophie Huang. My Dharma name is Qin Yuan. I came from China and have lived in the US for over 14 years. In March this year I took the 5 precepts in CTTB, because I finally consider myself a buddhist after two years of study in DRBU. But my journey to the Dharma was much longer than two years. In fact, it took me 40 years.

我叫黃媛媛，法號親緣。我來自中國，在美國住了有14年多。今年3月我在聖城受了五戒，因為在法大學習了兩年後我終於認為自己是一個佛教徒。然而我走向佛法的路卻遠遠不止兩年，實際上花了我整整40年。

One is the states within our minds — internally.

阿彌陀佛，我是恆禪，今天和大家結法緣。 今天是（農曆）9月初八，10月10日。 （農曆）9月19日是觀世音菩薩的出家紀念日，所以就和大家分享觀音菩薩修行，以及祖師出家三十法則，來和大家學習以增進及兼顧我們的道心及返本還源。

Today is the 8th day of the 9th month (on Lunar calendar). The 19th day of the 9th month is the commemoration day of Guanyin Bodhisattvas entering the monastic life.  So I would like to share Guanyin Bodhisattva’s practices and the 30 essential guidelines for monastics from the Patriarch, so that we can learn together to increase and solidify and make firm our aspiration for the Way, so we can return to our origin.

成長過程中，末學總覺得人應該要有宗教信仰，也堅信世間有因果循環。而且從小就是不能做壞事的人，不是馬上被發現就是現世報非常快，而且都是雙倍懲罰。常常覺得自己被盯著。

王一丹居士2024年10月11日晚間講於萬佛聖城大殿

諸佛菩薩，上人，各位法師，各位善知識，大家晚上好！

My name is Yidan Wang and I am from Shanghai. In the blink of an eye, I am now in my second year at Dharma Realm Buddhist University (DRBU), and this year marks the beginning of my master’s studies. For the first time in my life, I was taken to the “little black room” at the customs office because they thought I was suspicious for quitting my job to return to school here. When I entered the small ‘dark’ room, the customs officer inspected my passport, and the silence made me feel afraid. I thought, “Am I about to be deported and sent back on the next flight?” I quickly pulled my thoughts back to “Namo Guan Shi Yin Bodhisattva” and began silently reciting. After a long time, the officer said, “Ms. Wang, I have some questions for you.” I thought, “Great, here comes my chance. I’ll answer truthfully and be myself.”

我叫王一丹，來自上海。轉眼間，我已經在聖城法界佛教大學（法大）第二個年頭了，今年開啟了第一年的碩士學習，在入境海關的時候，人生中第一次被帶去 ”小黑屋”，因為海關覺得我非常可疑，竟然辭去工作繼續讀書。進入了小黑屋，海關官員檢查我的護照，安靜的氣氛讓我感到害怕，我心想：”我是不是被遣送，坐下一班飛機回去了？” 我馬上把思緒拉回到了「南無觀世音菩薩。” 我默默念著，過了很久，海關官員說：”Ms Wang（王女士）, 我有問題問你。” 我心想：太好了，機會來了，我只要真實回答做自己便可。

夢中的聖城

這是我第一次到聖城！我從來都不敢想像這輩子有福報去「聖城」。

以前，我就一直很渴望去聖城，但美國真的好遠…没有錢、没有閒。所以，我剪下聖城「山門」的照片，放在佛桌上，也放在皮夾裏珍藏著。我只能把「去聖城」的夢想藏在心底，當成此生一個遙不可及的夢。心想：如果有一天，當我站在聖城的山門前，我應該會感動到落淚…

黃詩婷居士

想去萬佛聖城原因有二，因為23歲的我沒有出國經驗，特別想出國看看。其次才是護戒。這是實話。

剛開始覺得一天到晚作法會很累，內心很抗拒，想掙脫。我猜想是因為業障和熱浪的緣故。熱浪結束，我也漸漸習慣道場的作息，身體雖然累，但漸漸產生歡喜心，因為英文版的唱誦真好聽。
